FOUR new songs on the Greatest Hits
From this article on Billboard:
"To actually remain contemporary after all these years is cool, man," says a buoyant Sambora. "Let's face it, there's not that many bands doing it anymore," he goes on to say before revealing that retirement for the veteran rock band is still a long way off yet.
"Absolutely man," he enthusiastically tells Billboard.biz. "This ain't stopping. We're having too much fun. We're going to come and do a proper stadium tour of the European continent next summer and we're going to release a greatest hits around fall with some new tracks on it."
He continues, "About three weeks ago Jon calls me up and says, 'let's write a couple more songs just for fun.' So we wrote a couple of songs and they turned out real good... so there's now four new songs on the greatest hits. We haven't released a greatest hits since 1995 so that will give us product through to the summer of 2011."
FOUR songs! Maybe if they do a few more we'll get another all-new-material album :)

A greatest hits would be cool I guess, although it's really going to be Crossroad plus It's My Life, Just Older, Who Says, Memory and Superman... now an album of all new material; hell that would be cool!
Yeah, I don't see that the GH album would be much different than my current iPod playlists :) But for FOUR new songs, I'd probably buy it.
Especially if one of them is "This Is Our House".

Easy, girlie...I've been a VERY patient lover, anxiously awaiting the arrival of another Sambora solo album. Its been FOUR years since he teased me with this deliciousness. So, even IF he were to do his own thing after the GH is released it'd still be 2012/2013 at the EARLIEST. I'm WAY overdue for my mutiple nights of that Samboraliciousness all to me onesie! :)
@SamboraHoney, I remember in one of the MusicRadar interviews (I think it was them at least) Richie said he had another record already in the can. Just doesn't have the time to produce/etc it.
BELIEVE me, I'm antsy for a new Richie record (and a solo tour would just about kill me). But I'm also a wee bit of a realist. JB isn't ready to call a break yet :)
