Characters Unite: Full Video

It's up.  It's here.

It's 810MB !!

According to Catte, it's also edited.  IRL it was right around 2:20, this is about 1:56.

BUT, it's out there on the SkyDrive.  There are 18 parts to the zip file.  I tried rapidshare, mediafire, and megaupload, and ALL of them gave me troubles.  Must be because it's late lol

In any event, it's there.  Let me know if there are any issues.

Hath - THANK YOU for doing this! It will be great to have this as a souvenir! It was such an interesting and well-done event, I'm sure I'll go back and watch it again and again down the road.

For those of you who are curious, yes, they did edit out a pretty big chunk of Jon's initial answer. The first question dealt with entertainers and the industry and it/their desire/ability to influence change. He talked about Bob Dylan as someone whose music made an impact on the American cultural and political scene. He also talked about his kids, telling the audience that he has 4 kids ages 5-16, and they don't "see color." He said (and obviously WAS) very proud of that fact, and he and his wife try hard to teach/be an example to the kids to look past appearances and not make presumptions.

Most of the rest of what Jon said is on the vid; I have a feeling they edited that stuff out of the first answer because he kinda comes back to it in a shorter form later in the discussion. In fact, his kids and their perceptions are kind of a running dialogue throughout, especially with Chancellor Rhee and Dr. Dyson.

Some of the other panelists are edited too, but I wish they had left Jon's dialogue complete, since he obviously didn't speak up quite as much as the other panelists. He did a lot of listening and nodding.

But, even edited, it's still a great broadcast. I encourage everyone to watch. Not only will you enjoy seeing JBJ, I think you'll find the topic and discussion interesting; it's certainly relevant and important given what's going on in today's world.

Thank you Catte & Hathor for doing this. I downloaded the zip file but when I went to extract it I got an error message saying something about a corrupt header. Will try to download each file individually & see if it works. All else fails, I'll just have to watch it online.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Hi Peg,

You do have to download all the files in that directory for the Zip file to work. If it still won't work we can do it brute force; email me an addy and I'll send you out a copy :)
