What do you think? Love it? Hate it?

I gotta say, it doesn't sound like anything special.

Generic, cookie-cutter Jovi tune.

Where are the big drums and big guitars?

Nope, this sounds like an out-take from Lost Highway.

Hope the rest of the record is way better than this...

Personally, I LOVE it! I really like the lyrics, and I'm a sucker for the "yeah, yeah, yeah" thing (or anytime there's a na-na-na-na-na...)

I have a feeling it's not gonna be fully representative of the rest of the album; I think it was probably released first because of the message in the lyrics. With all the philanthropy stuff Jon has been doing and speeches he has been making about "The Power of We", this seems planned to push the message.

Gotta say, I like it a WHOLE lot more than I liked the first single of Lost Highway (Make a Memory). When I heard that the first time I though "Oh Crap, what is this?" Not that it's a bad song...just not what I was expecting from the new album (and I gotta admit, my least fave song from LH, after I heard all the rest)

But HEY! It's HERE! WOO HOO! :)

I can agree. I do LOVE it, though. I love it so much more than MAM. It does say Bon Jovi typical. But you know what? That is kind of what I wanted with this album. I wanted Bon Jovi back. I LOVED Lost Highway. But I wanted rock again. Saying that, even though I love it, I can be objective and say I don't think this is some defining big hit. I was kinda hoping for that, but don't think this song is that. The message is good, but predictable. I was hoping for something a little more edgy, new. And this does sound like typical Bon Jovi. I hope for more guitar and drums, too. But I do think it is very catchy and it makes me very excited for the upcoming album and tour!

I agree completely with Lisa - I just wanted the essence of true, back to their roots, BON JOVI back. And I think this is it! It's not anything crazy creative or daring, but it sounds great, it's catchy, it's upbeat, it makes you want to dance and sing, and best of all -- it's NOT COUNTRY. LOL. I liked Lost Highway in its own little category, but this is just true blood Jovi, IMO. :) I am SO excited for the new album now!
