Starland Ballroom -- FULL BOOT
Yeppers, someone did the fandom a HUGE favor and got the whole show. Fantastic, high quality FLAC files, zipped up into a nice, neat little RAR file.
The link to the boot is up on the BJCT post for the Starland Show, here.

To "open" the "RAR" file (which is a file archive, or a bunch-of-files-wrapped-up-in-one-container), you can use 7-zip (which is free) or winRAR (which has a free trial, then they ask you to buy). This will get you to the individual FLAC files inside.
In order to play in iTunes, you need to convert the FLAC files to something else. In the comments, Becky listed a website where you can upload them, the site will convert, and email you the results. You can do that, or you can download this free utility set from DVD Video Soft, which contains an audio converter that lets you bulk-convert a bunch of files at once, right on your hard drive. I love this toolset, and use it almost exclusively for my audio/video needs.

thank you Hath and someone who did it:)
Thank you!!
Does anyone know how to convert a FLAC to another file format life wmv or...?
Thank you in advance.
Peg
Holy wow, thank you!! I love the first Starland show set, so I'm excited to hear this one.
And to Peg - you can go to www.zamzar.com and upload files, then select a new output format (ex. FLAC to MP3) It's my favorite program. Good luck!
Ok feeling really dumb here but need help - how do I now convert it from .rar to play in itunes. I tried the site Becky provided but it's only giving me strange choice. Any help would be appreciated. Thank gang.
You can use winamp to convert FLAC to play in itunes
Go to options and select Nullsoft disk writer then configure and select where u want to save file
and then select file play folder
and wait for file to be converted to itunes format and if u want to convert to mp3 you can do it from itunes
As if I needed another reason to love you, Hath. I've always used Zamzar or freefileconvert.com for one-by-one conversions, since I rarely need to bulk convert. But I just downloaded DVD Video Soft and am already in love. I think I've had this program installed before, but there was some bug that prevented it from working right, because I remember giving up on it and uninstalling it after a few weeks. So far, this version seems to work. YAY! Thanks a million!
Hey Hath wanted to take a moment to thank you for the additional instructions which worked perfectly. I was so thrilled that I got it to work LOL.
