Honours Committee Appeal

Yes, I'm fully aware that here in the US, we don't put the "u" in "Honors".  Then why the "u"?  I was asked to pass this along (posted exactly the way I received it):

Hi Everybody,on july 2nd 2010.
I wrote a letter to buckingham palace for her majesty the queen to see if I ..Alan Jenkins.. would be able to see Bon jovi recieve an honour from the honours comitee in london as they deserve one for all there music ,charity work and for how they make a difference to the united kingdom .I have recieved one letter back from the Senior Correspondance officer at Buckingham palace on the 12th july,i then recieved a letter from the cabinet office from the honours and appointments secretariat from my original letter which was forwarded to them on 23rd july ,and i have had two letters from foreign&commonwealth office regarding i fill in the honours form on august 10th by the royal Households and honours secretariat ,and the reply back from the secretariat on 24 th august 2010.

Please go on the http://www.honours.gov.uk/ website to express your feelings towards Bon jovi from a fans point of view as i believe they are Global icons and fully deserve an accolade .
