No Apologies
So.... Did you like it? Hate it?

"So far not impressed. I'm officially sick of overproduced social message songs. Grr. Jon's voice is perfect, I like the guitar solo. Can we just listen to that on continuous loop?"If you didn't hear it yet, you can listen to it on bonjovi.com.
I gave it a listen, and my first instinct?
My 10-year-old will totally love it on first listen. It’s like all the other teeny-bopper songs he’s listening to now… Iyaz, Bieber, etc. He'll be car-dancing on the way home from hockey practice tonight.
Don’t love it, but will LOVE it live. Very upbeat, great message, and will translate to the stage amazingly well. Not looking forward to the propaganda that will accompany it on the big screens, though.
It sounds WAY too over produced. Sounds like they’re trying to do techno, which really hurts my feelings, and it detracts from Jon's voice (which is spot-on) and the guitar solo which is actually a solo this time, right out of the gate.
I have to get it on the iPod and crank it with the sun roof open to see how it feels.
Right now, lukewarm at best.

Have to say, the first 20 seconds or so I don't like, but once it kicks in more, it gets better and better. Solo and final chorus pretty damn good. Like What Do You Got, it'll definitely grow on me.
I agree with bubblesheep, I wasn't crazy about the first 20 seconds or so either but loved it after it the song really got started!!
Again, not inspired by the first few seconds, but it improves - and there's a proper good guitar solo which is always a bonus :) It's got a reasonable hook though.
Still hooked on This Is Our House though - it's a killer on the cross trainer in the gym.
I really like it. I kinda like the 'electronic aspects'. It reminds me a little of Love's The Only Rule...I think it's a 'fresh' sound for them. Love love love the guitar solo of course, and Richie's echoes in the second verse. I'll be cranking this one as soon as I can!
I might have to get used to the 'electronic aspects' and I'm a college student, lol. While I'm sure it will sound great live, and will probably be great to turn up way too loud and dance to, I'm not in love with it (yet). There are very few Bon Jovi songs I don't love to some degree, so I'm sure this song will be no different soon.
Well, I agree that I will have to crank it loud in my car to really get into it and I am sure I will love it in time. Richie's solo makes the song and I could listen to Jon sing the phonebook to me anyway.
I like it, but don't love it either. I listened to What Do You Got about 12 times in a row when it first came out - this one, I listened once and moved on.
I agree that it will be AWESOME live though. It's a great stadium kicker.
As for it being overproduced - I think that's why I don't love it. One of the things I love about Bon Jovi is that their music is set apart from all the synthesized crap out there - they usually have a raw, original feel to their music. I feel like it's gotten a little too machine-oriented since The Circle (not that The Circle was a bad album!), so I'm REALLY hoping this isn't the new era.
I'll have to give this one a few more listens.
I like it! Yeah it's not Bon Jovi's normal sound but I think that good. They are trying new things and I think it works. I think it's gonna be a big hit. I really like the guitar solo and I love Richie's echo in the verses. I melt every time I hear Richie singing. his voice is so good and soothing!
Don't love it, don't hate it. Its not their usual stuff, a little too pop/dance imo but it will definitely grow on me. I already have it in my head. It will be a hit live, like others have said, I need to crank it up to get the full effect.

I don't hate it, but I definitely don't love it either. I got about 3/4 thru before I had to turn it off...I think I'm just not in the mood for this kind of song tonight. Honestly, the first half sounds like it's written with the intention of being sold for commercials. Not sure that it's worthy of a spot on the GH album...I hate to say it but it sounds fake and contrived :(
