Needed a Bit o'Richie
This popped in my Google Alerts this morning, and it was too pretty not to share.
Richie on The Tonight Show, promoting Undiscovered Soul, performing Hard Times Come Easy.
So WHY doesn't he do his own songs on tour again?

He should but I suppose since Jon is the boss he has to do what boss man says, right?
:P
I wondered the same thing on my blog right before NM#4. Would have loved to hear Church of Desire or One Last Goodbye... the man has some amazing songs! But I guess there's a reason to jon's madness! And I have to suppose that Richie isn't just a puppet doing everything Jon says and that if he had a strong desire to sing his own stuff, he'd express that to jon.
Hands down, best concert I ever saw - Richie's solo show at the Count Basie in Red Bank when he was promoting Stranger. Would so love to see Richie do that again!

Richie has done his songs in past tours. I almost cried when I saw what was happening.....It turned into an opportunity for people to get a drink refill. I of course stayed and loved every second of it.
@Jennifer, I would never expect anything so esoteric as the titles you named, though they would be killer live. Topped only, perhaps, by an acoustic Stranger or You Never Really Know. I firmly believe, though, what Jon says goes.
@Lyn, I hear you on the solo touring. I never saw him during his touring, but would LOVE to find my way-back machine and rectify that :) Who knows, with the WTB stuff coming out, maybe that will prompt Richie to dust off the other stuff he's got in his own closet...
@Anon, I've seen the beer run during Richie's solo when he's doing Jovi songs, which irritated the crap out of me too. Just sayin', the man has his own catalog that's full of gems that fans would love to hear. If Blaze gets show time this tour, so should Stranger. Just sayin'.
