About That Book...
You know the one that is due out today? The "Sex, Drugs, and Bon Jovi" book? We talked about it a little a couple weeks ago. Well TMZ has some of the photos from the book up. I'm not going to snag/post all of them because they're a bit risqué, but they're interesting. Some of them are just plain cute, and those are below.
The text along with the "topless girl" shots says they were part of a photo shoot that never got published due to the content of the pictures, and that Jon "fought to keep them from coming out".
First, if Jon fought to keep them from coming out, they wouldn't have come out. Not that Jon is all-powerful, but he has some very good lawyers.
Second, as some of the comments on the first picture alluded to, they are pictures from the 80's. It'd be surprising if they DIDN'T have something like this in their history. Here are some of the tamer shots from TMZ:
The New York Post has this article on the book, which has today as a release date:
Former Jon Bon Jovi tour manager Rich Bozzett included steamy shots of the rock star in his new memoir, "Sex, Drugs and Bon Jovi," on sale Monday.
In one of the tamer images -- taken during the 1985 "7800º Fahrenheit" tour -- Bon Jovi was splayed out on a bed nuzzling four topless women, as a shirt hung from a lamp and six cocktails rested on the nightstand.
Although staged, the photo was hardly the portrait you would expect of America's squeaky-clean rocker -- but, then again, America was never supposed to see it.
Bozzett -- who claimed he was bilked out of millions of dollars by the star's then-manager -- said the pictures were meant to be publicity shots and were taken by famed rock photographer Ross Marino. They were all but forgotten until Marino's death three years later.
"A panic-stricken Jon Bon Jovi immediately called up Doc [McGhee, his manager] to tell him that we needed to track down the pictures as soon as possible," Bozzett wrote.
Bozzett, now a general contractor, claimed he was fired by McGhee and denied his share of the band, so he pocketed the negatives.
"I like Jon. I love him," Bozzett said. "I don't want to hurt his fans or his children. It's about helping other people out there who have been mistreated like I was."
However, Bon Jovi's spokesperson had a different take. "Rich is remembered as a nice-enough guy who was eventually in over his head as the band's success grew. As far as his attempt to cash in on alleged experiences he had 21 years ago? No comment," the rep said.
Still not buying the book.

Look at all those naughty boys *Yummy*
So what?
Nothing new at all ;)
And I think this guy just tries to get his share out from those pics.
They were all just boys, nothing Jon should be worried about.
Can anyone explain how writing a supposed 'tell-all' book is going to help other people "who have been mistreated"? If it was Doc who shafted him, why try to ruin the band's reputation? And you don't want to hurt the fans or the guys' kids? Um, hello?
Also, if he pocketed the negatives, that makes him a thief. Pity the statute of limitations has expired... or can he still be held accountable? I wonder if the lawyers at BJM have thought of that.
Bottom line, the guy is just another bottom-feeder, looking to cash in on a big name. He's not getting a cent of my money.

Still not buying the book. And as far as the negatives go I wonder if the statutes of limitations "starts over" so to speak because they are being published.
This book is great, if you haven't ordered it yet you definitely should. It takes me back to the 80s when rock stars were supposed to be crazy.
