'Memphis' set for Shubert Run
Looks like Broadway-bound tuner “Memphis” has nailed down the Shubert Theater for its fall run, with a group sales announcement indicating the show will begin previews in September.
Tuner -- with music by Bon Jovi’s David Bryan, book by Joe DiPietro and lyrics by Bryan and DiPietro -- played Seattle earlier this year. Storyline follows a 1950s Memphis DJ who is one of the first to play music by African-Americans.
“Memphis” aims to begin previews Sept. 23 ahead of an Oct. 18 opening.

Wooooo! Sounds like it will have started before my October vacation. I wonder how much flights to NYC are now?
