A Glimpse Into Goddess' Day
OK, so this is pretty much my job; has been for the last 15 years.
Now you know why I not only drink, but escape into the world of Fan Fiction.
We call people like that hapless book-user a "PICNIC". That's an acronym (we techy geeks/nerds are BIG on acronyms) for:
Problem In Chair, Not In Computer.
Just thought I'd share my pain. It's been one of those days...

That reminds me so much of something my dad told me. A couple years ago it was always him at the company who got called when a computer wasn't working, even at home at night.
"Ok, what's the problem?"
"The screen is black, comp is on, but screen is black."
"Ok, the screen has electricity."
"Yes. I checked it."
"Good. I want you to put your hands softly under the buttom frame of the screen..."
"Yeah..."
"Can you feel this small wheels there?"
"Yeah..."
"Ok, with your right hand carefully move the right wheel."
"OMG, there's the picture!"
I thought adults are completely crazy. LMAO
PICNIC ... I LOVE IT!!! It is going to be my new chant at the office cuz bankers are ... well ... YOU know, you are in the financial field ... arrrrrrgh.
