Wanted Wednesday ~ Young Cowboy

Please rise, for the singing of our national anthem...

Up for your enjoyment today, a track from a boot called "Young Cowboy".  This was recorded on October 25th, 1992 in NYC at the Kaufman Astoria; it was the filming for "An Evening With Bon Jovi".  If you have that DVD, you've heard this before.

I love a good story.  You can't love the songwriting duo of Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora without loving a good story.

In this cut, before the song starts, Jon is telling the story about when this song was written in the basement of Richie's mom's house.  It goes on for several minutes, but this part always makes me laugh:

Jon: I always knew that anytime before 1 in the afternoon, chances are Richie's still in bed. Like aluminum foil over the windows air conditioning up to ten even in February, stereo on all night like on a constant repeat, and you never knew who or what was gonna be in the room with him when I'd opened that door.

Richie: "You nasty thing you. Sorry mom!"

I'm chuckling even now.

Another acoustic cut (I promise, there will be full-band cuts as well, once I get going) this ranks up there high on the rotation.
