Opening Acts for Giants Announced

Whoa boy.

Train on Wednesday, May 26th
Gavin DeGraw on Thursday, May 27th
OneRepublic on Saturday, May 29th

East Rutherford, NJ – March 29, 2010 – As the band is currently rocking and selling out arenas nationwide in the midst of its biggest tour yet, Bon Jovi has announced the addition of three incredible special guests for their series of inaugural concerts at the soon-to-be-opened New Meadowlands Stadium. The three shows in Bon Jovi’s home state are part of “The Circle World Tour,” promoted by AEG Live, and will feature GRAMMY Award-winning rockers Train on Wednesday, May 26th; platinum-selling singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw on Thursday, May 27th; and pop-rock hit-makers OneRepublic on Saturday, May 29th.

Critics across the country have been praising Bon Jovi’s recent shows on “The Circle World Tour,” with The Arizona Republic raving that “the 27-year old group is playing with renewed focus and power on its latest tour….Fans from age 10 into their 60s stayed on their feet for nearly all of the two-hour-plus show, pumping their fists to such anthems as ‘It's My Life,’ ‘Bad Medicine’ and ‘You Give Love a Bad Name.’” The San Jose Mercury News stated that “Bon Jovi is one of the few acts that manages to come across as both timely and timeless,” while the Las Vegas Sun simply said “Bon Jovi gave until there was no more to give. Electrifying, extraordinary, exciting, enthusiastic and exuberant.”

“The Circle Tour” will find Bon Jovi playing 135 shows in 30 countries throughout much of the next two years. The band announced the two-year global trek on October 22nd, with an exclusive performance on the grounds of New Meadowlands Stadium for a group of more than 5,000 lucky contest winners, fan club members, and on-site construction workers who were then building the venue. Following in the footsteps of their hugely successful “Lost Highway Tour”—Billboard’s #1 top-grossing tour of 2008—Bon Jovi will draw fans around the world into The Circle, with a residency at London’s O2 Arena in June 2010 before returning to North America in July for an additional leg of stadium shows, and further dates well into 2011.

The band's 11th studio album, The Circle, debuted at #1 in numerous countries including the U.S., Canada, Japan and Germany with Top 5 debuts throughout Europe and the UK. Globally, the Grammy Award-winning band has sold more than 120 million albums, and performed more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans.

Gavin Frickin' DeGraw?!? Holy hell.

54 days and counting until my Giants' experience.  In addition to looking forward to spending more time with Cheryl, meeting up with Kiwi and Summer and a whole host of others, seeing Tara and Bonnie again, giving Jon a present (lol)... NOW I have Gavin McGraw to look forward to?

Is it May yet?

I know Kazee sometimes play with Gavin's band here in the city ... here's hoping he's doing the gig at Giants. (sorry, STILL can't call it the Meadlowlands Stadium LOL)
