Corzine Event

New Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi performed a brief 3-song acoustic set tonight:

Who Says You Can't Go Home
Livin' on a Prayer
Here Comes the Sun

This event was a post-primary campaign fundraiser for Gov. Jon S. Corzine.

Tonight's event, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, drew about 2,000 people and was expected to raise $2 million.

Jon Bon and four band mates (Renz, Everett, Jeff, and Bobby) took the stage just after 8 p.m.

Addressing the crowd, New Jersey native Bon Jovi said politics can be a dirty business but that he believes Corzine got involved in order to make a difference.

When and as the vids show up on YouTube (and you know that's destined to happen); I'll update here.

It was (very) short and sweet! Jon looked and sounded fantastic. His hair is longer and lighter!!!! Will upload pics to my PB before I go to sleep.

He did indeed sound fantastic. Hoping for more than 3 songs, but understand what his reasoning might have been. More on my blog tomorrow, but I'm gonna sleep now - hung out with one of my Jovinuts after the event and I'm tired now. :-)

I am in no way affiliated with the band or any of its members. I'm simply a fan looking for a way to celebrate my favorite band.
