NJ Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Tickets are on sale for The New Jersey Hall of Fame's second annual induction ceremony, which will be held May 3 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Tickets from $25 to $90 are available online at www.njpac.org; by calling 1-888-GO-NJPAC or at the NJPAC box office, 1 Center St.

This year's inductees represent the wide diversity of New Jersey's population and include Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, Jon Bon Jovi, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Althea Gibson, Jerry Lewis, Guglielmo Marconi, Shaquille O'Neal, Meryl Streep, Phil Rizzuto, Paul Robeson, Carl Sagan, Walt Whitman and William Carlos Williams.

Officials said inductees or family members will accept the award.

That last line is interesting. Do you think with JazzFest that weekend as well that, Jon will be there in person or will he send someone to accept on his behalf? Hmmmm sounds like a question for Obie! (I already asked, let's see if he answers me or someone else who I'm sure asked lol)

That is interesting. Although, there are a few on that list that are deceased, so it's not likely that people like F. Scott Fitzgerald will be accepting the award themselves.

And you have to consider that Bon Jovi's set will be over at somewhere around 7 pm the day before. So long as I get to see them on the 2nd, Jon can fly home to get his award the 3rd.
