Goodbye, Toby

I know it's not Jovi related, well it sorta is I guess, but my dear friend Jovi'sWillow lost her precious pup Toby in the wee hours this morning.

He had ruptured a disc in his neck that controlled his spinal cord and he could no longer breathe. Toby was our mascot at Fictionista Weekend, and he was wonderfully sweet, loved to cuddle, and was fun to watch chasing birds on the beach.

In the course of your busy day today, please take a moment to stop and send your thoughts (or texts or emails) to Willow. If you don't have her information, send them to me and I'll make sure she gets them.

Oh god, how sad....
It´s hard to loose a beloved animal and he looks like a real cutie.
I´ve lost my first dog in a car accident and I know how hard it is when it happens all of a sudden.
Please send Willow a hug from me...

Thank you Hath. You made our rather awful morning just a wee bit brighter. This is the kind of day Toby lived for... sunshine, birds to chase and squirrels to bark at. I can't imagine life without him.

I got Willow's message at about 3am and couldn't stop crying. This was a very special dog - truly one-of-a-kind. He certainly got this cat lover to cross over.

Like I told you in my e-mail, Willow - he was very lucky to have you as his mommy - and I was very lucky to have spent time with him. HUGE HUG TO YOU and B.

Willow - I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your faithful companion. I have had dogs my whole life and I understand what an amazing bond can be formed between human and animal. My prayers are with you and your family today. I know Toby will live on in your heart forever.

I'm really sorry for your loss. We thought we were going to lose our boy a few weeks ago and that was bad enough. Please send Willow big hugs from me.

Willow, so sorry to hear about your dog. I, too, have lost a beloved dog and it is one of the saddest things ever. Sending lots of hugs your way. Take care.

Ohh...I'm so going to miss that little guy. He totally was our mascot.
*sniff*

Pets are just as important as people.

*muah* Toby, you will be missed. All my love, Will.
