Adding Opening Act Shows Jovi To Be A Class Act
Jon Bon Jovi was on his way to visit local family homeless shelter, People Serving People, in Minneapolis yesterday, when he read about up-and-coming artist Alison Scott in CJ The Dish's column in the Star Tribune.
According to the item, Alison Scott’s band was one of many to compete in the “Opening Act Contest” coordinated by a local radio station with the chance to win the opening slot at tonight’s Bon Jovi concert at Xcel Energy Center. Scott was mistakenly informed that she had won the opening slot; but due to a glitch in the station's voting process, they called with the unfortunate news that she had not, in fact, won the prize.
Upon reading about the unfortunate miscommunication, Jon Bon Jovi immediately made the call to correct the station’s error and add Alison Scott and her band, along with the other radio winner, fourforty to the bill to become one of two opening acts tonight.

Kudos to you, Jon.
