JonBon on Nightline

Maybe it's that there isn't anything left to ask him? That's gotta be it, right?

Filmed before the band took off for Europe, the full interview aired on ABC last night.

"I found myself wanting to ask him not about his music, but what really matters to his female fans worldwide. I had to know about that famous, lucious hair."

ICK. Really? I thought Nightline was a step above the other TV tabloids.

At least they did touch on the White House Council appointment, the band's longevity, and his love for New Jersey.

Thanks to debee1015 for uploading the interview.

This interview was just pathetic. I can't help but wonder if it was cut short though because of the Gabby Giffords last minute add in. Expected more from Lara Spencer and from the look of things Jon did too.

Agreed...it was one of the worst interviews I've ever seen with him. I can't believe people are STILL asking about his hair...I'm surprised Jon was as nice to her as he was, given that she started with that question!

I found myself literally yelling at the television.

They BARELY touched on the White House council ... and in terms of the band's longevity, seemed to stress that they are selling out venues by playing 80s anthems (as if they haven't written anything since SWW.)

Admittedly, as fans we tend to want/expect more, but even my roommate (who doesn't know anything about him except what I've told her) even said "what the *&%$ was that?" LOL

p.s. by the way, my word verification was "dicktie" ... hmmm ...

OMG..I totally agree...total pathetic interview..his hair really? And stop saying he is 50..he has 7 months till he is 50...and could she edit her piece?? It is not the beginning of the European tour.I know she did this in June..but update the information when the piece airs!

I agree that the interview was lacking. I think as fans we expect more because we know more about the band to start with. However, if presented with the opportunity, honestly wouldn't you want an invitation to run your fingers through that head of hair???? ;)

Well "touched" is a very accurate word you used there.

I didn't really expect anything at all, so I had a better reaction that most here. Or rather, I had no reaction when I saw it on GMA, but then didn't even bother with Nightline.

I see now it was about 6 mins. I don't think it's the Giffords thing that cut it. I think it's just what you get from Bon Jovi in the States. Though I think it's great that Jon has his foundation, and I'd love to hear more about that especially, none of that stuff matter to those who interview him because it's like he's stuck in a capsule and that will be that.

I guess that if I was a journalist, I would try not to go the easy way and do more than quick homework (JBJ=hair), but then I guess she just didn't find it important enough to bother.

definitely embarrassing.

i dont think that even the women who go to BJ concerts exclusively for some shallow Jon eyecandy give a fuck about the hair anymore. she may as well have gone for the ass. basically, why even bother doing a feature?
