Wanted Wednesday: Denver 2006

Please rise for the playing of our national anthem.

Another "This day in history" days. The show today is from this date back in 2006.  I'm starting to feel a little bit like Casey Kasem.

"You know this one, right? Lemme hear you sing..."

I love watching the expressions on their faces when 20,000+ people are singing their music back to them. You can see in that moment, the appreciation and love they have for the fans. They know we get it, and in that moment, we know they get that we get it. It's a perfect moment of clarity and mutual understanding.

So, the audience sings the first verse, and Richie comes in for the second. All growly and lovely and sexy and damn. Jon picks up for the chorus, and they go on from there in another very strong performance.
