Billy Joel paid tribute to Jimmy Buffet’s wife at her 60th birthday party, praising her for their long-standing partnership. Joel told us, “I said that Jane Buffet knows the secret of staying happily married to a rock and roll man. And I sang Otis Redding’s ‘Dock of the Bay.’ ”
The star-studded party at Buffet’s North Haven home Saturday night had VIPs partying in a tent and treated to performances by Joel, Jon Bon Jovi, Buffett -- who wed Jane in 1977 -- and James Taylor.
Guests included Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jane Fonda, Jack Nicholson, Harrison Ford, Calista Flockhart, Richard Gere, Anjelica Huston and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters.
