Opening Ceremonies at AT&T National

This week’s opening ceremonies for the AT&T National, a PGA-tour event taking place for the first time at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, included a military color guard, a colonial fife and drum corps, the National Anthem performed by Philadelphia-area group Boys to Men and speeches by Aronimink and PGA officials.

Also speaking was musician Jon Bon Jovi, whose foundation, the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, is among the beneficiaries of the four-day tournament.

Tiger Woods, whose own foundation is a tournament beneficiary, was among the guests in attendance.

The day also included a pro-am, where pros, including Rickie Fowler, Davis Love III and Boo Weekly, and amateurs teamed up on the Donald-Ross-designed course.
