Tico at St. Andrew's

Tico Torres, drummer for Bon Jovi tees off on the second hole during the second practice round of The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at The Old Course on September 29, 2009 in St. Andrews, Scotland.

I adore the hat :)

Anyone know how good a golfer Teek is?

  1. I remember in an a few years ago Tico said his team qualified with a 12 handicap to play at St. Andrews. Currently St. Andrews doesn't have a handicap limit, but on the old course it was 24 for men and 36 for women. I'd try to explain what a "handicap" is in golf, but I have trouble explaining it. About the only explanation I could give is a Pro golfer's "handicap" would be in reverse like -4, and a golfer with a handicap greater than 17.5 would be called a "Bogey Golfer". There's a whole formula when it comes to configuring someone's handicap. Tico would probably be classified as a "Scratch Golfer" which is an amateur player who plays to the standard of each hole.

Who would've thought golf was more complicated than whacking a ball into a hole, huh? lol

  2. I'm a terrible golfer (I'm better at driving the beer cart), but I enjoy the beauty of the links. I must say, though, that in this pic Teek's swing look pretty weak... looks like he's swinging a baseball bat instead of a golf club. Must be the camera angle... they don't let just any Hack play St. Andrews!

  3. LOVE the hat! LMAO!
I don´t get the fun of golfing, I only see it as an opportunity to talk business for some people LOL
But if Tico´s enjoing it, I don´t complain. At least we got some new shots ;)
