Richie Sambora Lands Charity Honor

From Contact Music:

Richie Sambora performs at the Bikers Bash in the Seminole
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Hollywood, Florida - 09.12.11.

Rocker Richie Sambora is to be honoured for his philanthropy at an upcoming charity gala.

The Bon Jovi guitarist has long supported The Midnight Mission, a Los Angeles organisation which offers help to the homeless, and he will be celebrated for his dedication at the 12th Annual Golden Heart Awards next month (May12).

He says, "I have a profound respect for the Midnight Mission. I'm inspired by the work they do day in and day out. I'm proud to be affiliated with such a solution-minded outreach program.

"For the betterment of our community, I gladly contribute whenever I'm able to lend my support to the cause in any way I can. To have the Midnight Mission recognise me with this award is humbling and an incredible honour."

David, Out and About

From Broadway.com:
Memphis composer (and Bon Jovi keyboard player!) David Bryan had a family outing on April 3, when he took his daughter Gabby to meet Nick Jonas and the cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. After seeing Jonas and his co-workers make business deals at the World Wide Wicket Company, Bryan and Gabby headed backstage to meet Jonas and Michael Urie (of TV’s Ugly Betty), and reunite with Kevin Covert and Tanya Birl, two How to Succeed cast members who are Memphis alums.

Hath on Hiatus

Hey everyone -- with the exception of the April mid-day motivators (which I have scheduled to post), I'm going to be scarce over the next couple of months.  My real life persona is going through a tough life choice -- my job is moving from my beloved Bahstin to halfway down the Eastern Seaboard.

So the tough life choice?

(a) Uproot my Hathlet?  Leave everything that is familiar, including my close-knit family?

or

(b) Lose my job.
Those are my choices.  Nice, huh?

I -- well we -- have 6 weeks to decide.

So during that time, I may post something Jovi-esque from time to time when I need a break from the brain melting activities involved in sorting out if an 800 mile relocation is do-able, but the Wanted Wednesday (for one) will definitely be on hiatus for the time being.  Now I need to focus on my family.  I hope you understand.

We did get some good news today -- Richie's album is supposed to drop in July (at least that's what he tweeted earlier).

At least by then, I'll know what I'm doing.

Decisions...decisions...

*sigh*

Sometimes being a responsible adult sucks ass.
