I had to -- the story is still, STILL, popping in Google Alerts.

But no, you don't.

Resplendent Randomness: Heartbreak Hotel

The Elvis Presley classic "Heartbreak Hotel" was released this day in 1956. Under the heading "Jon, when you do your next solo project, a croony record featuring covers of songs by The King and Sinatra wouldn't be a bad thing", here's a little trip in the way-back machine to the Songs and Visions concert in Wembley in 1997.

Jon Bon Jovi at SAP

As seen on SAP TV:

200 SAP employees turned out at a SAP Clear Purpose volunteer activity in Camden, New Jersey. They built a playground in just a single day. Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi showed up to pay tribute. Similiar projects were held in 10 countries across North and Latin America during the SAP Month of Service.

Soraia Needs Your Help!

Posted by ZouZou on Facebook:
We are eligible for 93.7 WSTW 2012 Homey Awards. Nominate us for Song of the Year!!! Entry deadline is this Friday, January 27th!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Just cut and paste the entry below into an email addressed to Homey@wstw.com

Song of the Year - "Runaround" by Soraia

One entry per person (email address), so please tell as many people as you can to send that email!  Thank you so much!

Soraia is currently in the process of recording their record "ZouZou's Petals" in both Sanctuary Sound, Red Bank, NJ and at Sine Studios in Philadelphia, PA. Eight of the twelve songs were co-written with Jon Bon Jovi, who took a strong liking and interest in the band and offered to help the band with the recording of their record. The invitation came after they opened for Bon Jovi in March 2011 in Philadelphia, PA.

The album is heavily influenced by 60's garage, rock, soul, and rock n' roll.

The full Soraia EPK can be found here.

If you'd like to hear the song before you vote, Soraia has it up at reverbnation.  If you'd like to SEE the song before you vote, Soraia played the track when they opened for Bon Jovi on Jon's birthday last year. You can watch below

Good luck, ZouZou!!

Wanted Wednesday: January 24, 1987 (San Francisco)

Please rise for the playing of our national anthem.

Another trek into the Land of the Long Intro.  (A place I wouldn't mind in person, let me tell ya).  This time from Cow Palace (which brings to mind Holstein-themed wallpaper and giant udder-shaped chandeliers.  So I'm strange.  Shoot me.)

A lovely stroll through puppyville with Jon keeping all the lyrics for himself :)

Let's Ride!

Mid-Day Motivator: Cougar

I think the funny thing is, Jon talks about the women in the audience as cougars. Hate to break it to you, hon, but most of us are younger than you...

That being said, with toys like THAT, I'd never be bored.

This is Richie in studio with the guitar for little Desiree...We will post pics of Desiree as soon as her mom sends them....

Looking forward to the pictures of Desiree with her prize!
