Mid-Day Motivators: Teek!
LMAO Bay.
Seriously, what would you do with a cardboard cutout? A ballistics gel model, maybe. NO wait; too floppy. I'll think of something...

More Jon @ the Pats
This isn't Jon, but it was pretty funny. This brief interview w/a local radio personality who (from the sound of it) has a major crush on JonBon :) and has the BEST friend on the planet. From MIX104.1 Radio.
A couple of my favorite lines:
"I think I knew the voice; I knew who it was -- 25 years of obsession will help you do that."
"Shrieked louder than any girl with Bieber Fever ever has."
In other areas of the 'Net, someone put together the clips of Jon from the box along with media shots.
And here's Jon playing with Bergman's camera at the game. Wonder if he has one of these of his own yet?

New David Interview
With Pierre, on WMMR. From their website:
~ Hath
Greetings Citizens! The interview is embedded in the WMMR blog entry.
I got a call the other day from David Bryan, the keyboard player for Bon Jovi. He wrote the music and co-produced Memphis, the Tony award winning musical which is at the Academy of Music every night through Sunday, January 22. It's a wonderful play about a DJ in the 1950s and the racial struggles of the time. I highly reccomend seeing it before it leaves town next week. I asked David about Memphis, the other musicals he's working on, and what Bon Jovi is up to these days. By the way, you can purchase tickets for Memphis at www.KimmelCenter.org. Take a listen!
Cheers,
Pierre

Bongiovi Pasta Sauce
... now on sale!
~ Hath
Thanks, Kiwi, for passing this along. I think I'll stick with my sauce though. My grandma's from a different part of Italy, and her sauce is amazing. I almost have it right (lol) and for $24USD plus shipping, I can buy enough ingredients for a couple multi-gallon batches :)

Yesterday
* we interrupt this blog for a wicked short quasi-political statement *
...HathBlog was on strike in protest of the SOPA and PIPA acts that are now in the US Legislature. You may have noticed Google had a black bar across its logo, and Wikipedia (English version) was completely down for the day as well.
Senators' websites went down just from the sheer surge of voters trying to write them. NYC and SF geeks had protests that packed city blocks.
Tech companies and users teamed up. Tens of millions of people who make the internet what it is joined together to defend their freedoms. The free network defended itself. Whatever you call it, the bottom line is clear: from today forward, it will be much harder to mess up the internet. Hopefully.
Approaching Monday's crucial Senate vote there are now 35 Senators publicly opposing PIPA. Last week there were 5. And it just takes just 41 solid "no" votes to permanently stall PIPA (and SOPA) in the Senate. What seemed like miles away a few weeks ago is now within reach.
The Wanted Wednesday and Mid-Day Motivators still posted (as I had them pre-scheduled) and can be found in the blog archive links over on the right-hand side.
If you're in the US, bug your Senators about this. Say you oppose PIPA, and urge the Senator to vote "no" on cloture.
PROTECT IP / SOPA Breaks The Internet from Fight for the Future on Vimeo.
A little alarmist, admittedly, but the basic message is (I feel) right, and the last 30 seconds or so are the scariest.

Wanted Wednesday: January 17, 2006 (Atlanta)
Please rise for the playing of our national anthem. You know this one right?
Jon gives the crowd a chance to prove it; giving them the first verse. I always love watching Jon's face when he listens to the crowd sing. You know it does his heart good.
Anyway.
Richie comes in with the next verse (swoon) then Jon's back after the solo. A solid, fun performance.
Let's Ride!

JonBon at the Patriots Game
What a fantastic blow-out of a game (sorry, Denver fans).
Wonder if JonBon is in Wisconsin tonight to watch his Giants?
In any event, the man looks wicked cold. It was freezing Saturday night, and I was glad to forego the in-stadium experience in favor of a nice toasty down blanket and a comfy couch. I've done the freeze-your-ass-off winter games at Gillette (and Foxboro Stadium before that) and I know I wanted no part of that yesterday :)
GO PATS!
