Fashion's Night out

Thanks, Catte, for passing this along:

The Slap

Can't get enough of JonBon getting slapped?  Apparently, neither can YouTuber sailorspoon.

Here's the slap clip on a short loop, slowed down so you see every frame.

Really REALLY like him getting slapped? This one is five minutes long (lol).

Wow -- some people REALLY like seeing Jon get slapped.

~ Hath

PS: Thanks Kiwi for sending along the slap vid -- it made me laugh too. And yeah -- too much idle time indeed :)

30 Minutes or Less, or it's Free?

I love Zimbio :)
DELIVERY BOY - Rockstar Jon Bon Jovi is seen dodging traffic to return home with a large pizza in New York. Bon Jovi smiles for cameras as he ducks under the trunk of an SUV. The rockstar was filmed singing "America the Beautiful" by an NBC television crew preparing for a special "NFL Kickoff 2011: Back to Football" show Saturday.

VH1 to Stream The Concert for NYC

From VH1's website:

Last week, we filled you in on our plans to re-air The Concert For New York City in its entirety, commercial-free, on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 this Sunday. We are also excited to announce that we’ll also be simultaneously be streaming this event on VH1.com beginning at 4 p.m. ET. Featuring emotionally charged performances by the likes of Paul McCartney, The Who, Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child and more, this one-time only replay will also benefit our friends at the Robin Hood Relief foundation.

Not sure if VH1.com is accessible in places other than the US, but just in case...

Hall of Fame Induction

No, no, not the REAL hall of fame...

Richie Sambora has been "inducted" into the tongue-in-cheek TMZ American Hero Hall of Fame . If you ignore that it's from TMZ (and how they harp on "who Richie's slept with" lol) it's a fun little clip.
Richie Sambora has a whole laundry list of reasons as to why he is
AWESOME -- so the dude clearly earned his spot in the American Hero Hall
of Fame.

Belichick Documentary

Under the heading, "Even Jets fans who are JBJ fans would watch this"...

Last night, the Patriots held an advance screening of the NFL Films documentary on Coach Bill Belichick based on the 2009 season. It airs in two parts on the NFL network (September 15 and September 22) and opens with a brief appearance by JonBon:

The film opens with Belichick talking with rocker Jon Bon Jovi, his buddy, and Bon Jovi is asking about new Jets coach Rex Ryan. Belichick tells him, “He’ll get his guys to play for him.” And Rex has.

I'm sure it will show up on YouTube in due course. OR if I happen to find it in my inbox (as I don't have the NFL network at home) I'll of course pass it along.

America the Beautiful

This morning, we have this report from Huffington Post:

NEW YORK — Rocker Bon Jovi has returned to a Manhattan fire house to pay tribute to firefighters marking the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The New Jersey native was filmed singing "America The Beautiful" Wednesday by an NBC television crew preparing for a special "NFL Kickoff 2011: Back to Football" show Saturday.

He sang the same song for a performance that aired nationally on Sept. 23, 2001 prior to the kickoff of the first NFL games after 9/11. Bon Jovi said in an interview after Wednesday's performance that it was "as moving this time as it was then."

Bon Jovi has spent three decades touring with his songs, which include "Livin' on a Prayer" and "It's My Life." The band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

Mid-Day Motivator: Sambora

Yeah, it is. It's really the dimple that does it.

Wanted Wednesday: September 7, 1987

Please rise, for the singing of our national anthem...

Another trip into Puppyville (Festival Hall, Melbourne) and another deliciously long intro (though the quality is not that good).

What Do You Got? (alt version)

Thanks LeeAnn, for blogging about this -- I hadn't come across this in my cybertravels.

Bon Jovi - What Do You Got by UMPG

An alternate version of "What Do You Got?"

I like it.

What do you think?

~ Hath

Update: Several of you asked for the MP3--- it's now up on my Mediafire :)

Extra! Interview (II) ~ More Pendelton!

Some of you wrote me and asked if it was true that there was an additional Extra! piece on Richie, and if so, could I post it.

Well, I had no idea.

Now I do.

Thank you, Google Alerts.

~ Hath

PS: FD, this one's for you :)

Also, the same piece on Extra's website had this video of Richie's performance:

MDA Telethon Performance

I hope all my US friends had a relaxing Labor Day weekend (is that an oxymoron?).  I spent it in Connecticut sailing on a schooner, visiting a castle, listening to the Coast Guard Band, and taking in a demolition derby.

Richie spent a portion of it helping to raise money for the MDA.

Here's the pre-performance interview from backstage at the MDA where Richie talks about not only a solo record (is the same one you've been taunting us with for YEARS, Richie??  time to put up or shut up, sweetheart...) but also a new Bon Jovi record.

That noise you just heard?  That was the sound of thousands of wallets gasping in pain.

Mid-Day Motivator: Raise Your Hand

*waves hand*

But you know, it'll never happen. Not the "award winning song". Nope. We've got that for EVAH.
