Let Jon Help You Shed Those Unwanted Pounds
I know that some of us could use a little help in the dieting department. We just need the correct bit of encouragement and inspiration, right?
Well, check out the first 10-15 seconds of this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5Y4W3BF9GI
You're going to want to do the following:
[1] Get yourself one of those record-able greeting cards.
[2] Take Jon's comments about the fridge and record the sound byte on the little recorder doo-hickey
[3] Attach said doo-hickey to the hinge of the fridge.
[4] Crave a nosh
[5] Open fridge
[6] Say 'Yes Jon' and close the fridge
[7] Repeat
Watch those unwanted pounds just drop away...

WTB and Extra: Behind the Scenes
Here are a mess pictures from the WTB Blog -- behind the scenes at the Extra! taping today. The episode (apparently) was for tonight, so I know I've missed it by now, but I'm sure it will show up on YouTube soon :)
Thanks Queenie, for dropping the pics along. They're up on the WTB blog as well (of course) and there are a few sans-Richie shots over there.

Richie and Nikki - New Music!
From Nikki Lund on the WTB Blog:

Hey dolls,Hmmmmm.... I'd like to give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a listen before making a decision about whether I like it or not, but I know I didn't care for the first collaborative song... here's hoping (in my opinion anyway) that two things happen. First, that the rest of the record they're doing takes a different direction and second, that Richie does something ON HIS OWN after the tour wraps (and after he has a chance to unwind).
so Richie and I had THE BEST time being interviewed by the gorgeous Mario Lopez on Extra TV last year that they've decided to come to the studio and film Richie and I as we rock out while recording our new album. We've been hard at work for months creating music that everyone will want to dance and party to. Behind the scenes pictures are coming too...can't wait!!

Let It Snow.... aw shaddap
It's all pretty UNTIL...
... it bows the trees down so low that the slightest breeze brings ominous, teasing CRAK! noises to you, and we have 30-mile an hour gusts...
...the power goes out along with the phones, the internet, and the heat...
... you spend more than 2 hours out in the cold, wet snow, cleaning off the driveway, front walkway, front stoop, back stairs and deck, to try to keep on top of the snowfall, only to find them FULL AGAIN when the shovels go back into the garage...
...the snowfall is measured in FEET instead of INCHES...
...you take refuge at your mom's house in the next town over because she has power and more importantly, HEAT...
Thankfully, we haven't had any damage, we're just COLD.... Mr. Hath is at home rigging the furnace with a plug so we can use the generator and have heat in the house for a while. Hathlet and I are at my mother's feeding our addictions -- me with the internet connection, and he with the television.
It's STILL coming down.
STILL.
And it's pretty.
But enough.

What's Next?
From BONJOVI.COM:
~ Hath
Bon Jovi’s recent Greatest Hits release topped album charts around the world in November 2010. In December 2010, it was announced that their current World Tour had topped box-office charts to become the #1 World Tour for 2010. The question now is… “What’s Next?”I'm firmly in FIOSland, so will miss this -- though one of the girls is on the case. We'll see what we can do.
Bon Jovi fans will get the answer to that question in 3D on Friday, January 14th at 8:30pm Eastern, when DIRECTV’s 3D channel, n3D™, powered by Panasonic (channel 103), premieres the 3D version of Bon Jovi’s “What’s Next?”
Program: What’s Next
Airdate: Saturday, January 14, 2011
Time: 8:30pm Eastern time
Channel: n3D™, powered by Panasonic (channel 103)
The half-hour special includes backstage interviews with Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, a glimpse behind the curtain as the crew readies the stage for the band’s recent release week performance at the Best Buy Theatre in New York City and of course, Bon Jovi's latest music video, “What Do You Got.” The behind-the-scenes footage and interviews were filmed by AEG NETWORK LIVE, which has become an ongoing leader in 3D partnerships with some of the most iconic musical acts in the world.

BJCT: Behind The Scenes
This aired on EPIX after the movie, and in the theaters, it preceded the presentation. Here it is for your enjoyment. The bootleg of the movie is already making its rounds, and I'm sure the movie will start showing up in bits and pieces on YouTube soon, as well as whole in torrents.
So GUYS, yeah YOUSE GUYS, let's get the official DVD out in the stores soon, huh? With some nice bonus material from, oh, say, Hammerstein 1990 just for yukks.
Just sayin'.

Wanted Wednesday: Star94 (Atlanta), September 2000

Please rise, for the singing of our national anthem...
Today's Wanted is from an acoustic radio show on Star 94. Several songs were played, along with some Q&A,and it was Jon and Richie and their guitars.
No offense to David, Tico and (now) Hugh, but this is the way it's supposed to sound.
There's nothing "funny" or "off" in this version; a wee teensy bit of tuning and Jon counting in the song and *sigh* ..... Wanted
Let's Ride!
You can download the song here.

Richie was recently interviewed for High Performance Audio. Richie talks about adapting to trends, one of his favorite birthday presents, and the 4000 songs on his iPod among other things. A great read.

JoviStock 2011?
Gotta love snooty rich people. Well you don't really have to, I won't make you, but the latest news out of the Hamptons just made me shake my head.
Is "Music Festival" synonymous with "property damage"? Maybe sometimes, but so is "sporting event", "church picnic", and any other event where more than 10 people are hanging around *coughcatte'snewyearsparty*
Or do the residents of the hamlet prefer the farm's land be used for more "upper crust" events like art shows, polo matches, or educational seminars as has been done in the past?
C'mon. This is The Hamptons, people. And the gig is for charity. Are Mr. Jones and Mr. Collage really going to price tickets for this festival within anyone's "reasonable spending" range? I don't think the residents have to worry about the -- ick -- middle class (oh the HORROR!) invading their little corner of The Hamptons.
You'd be better off to hang around Stephen Talkhouse the weekend of the gig. Cover charge doesn't typically get up over $100, and you never know WHO will stop by.

Gotta love snooty rich people. Well you don't really have to, I won't make you, but the latest news out of the Hamptons just made me shake my head.
Come mid-August, "Sag Harbor motel owner Chris Jones and screenwriter Bill Collage" plan to organize and throw a two- to three-day music festival at the Ocean View Farm in Amagansett. (The farm's also on the market for about $20 million.) When petitioning for a mass gathering permit, the planners mentioned that the event could include around 20 acts, draw 9,600 visitors, and raise thousands of dollars for local charities. Are rich people really scared of throngs music fans? I'm not rich, so I don't know for sure.
Sounds fun, especially since acts like Jon Bon Jovi and Billy Joel were mentioned.
Problem is, an event like this can overwhelm a small town, and some residents are anything but willing to put up with it. They say the festival-goers will "go on a rampage through Amagansett," destroying the host farm and scaring off the area's "typically affluent summer visitors." During a board meeting, one citizen even said the proposed festival "reeks of a Woodstock acid flashback."

A Strong Man with a Strong Butt
Thanks Catte, for dropping this in my inbox; it made me laugh. Plus I love this song, so it made my morning.
Not my words -- this comes straight from the horse's mouth. I can neither confirm nor deny the strength of JonBon's butt...
I love how Richie's laughing at the story. I'm sure it's a case of been there, done that :) Though I have yet to meet a guy ANYWHERE -- in my work life, at home, in my limited travels abroad -- who hasn't had one of those "Oh crap, she's gonna kill me" moments. Nice to know in some respects, Jon is just that "regular guy" he always says he is.
Enjoy!

I'm working on documenting my video bootlegs (finally) and doing some date-related research, and it was only a matter of time before I got lost in YouTubeLand.
Now, no, I don't have either of these full boots, though I'd love to see them (hint, hint), but these videos from hAnD90 made my afternoon...
