More than "that girl with the violin from last tour"

Yes, I'm talking about the ever lovely Lorenza Ponce.

She has a new record out "Soul Shifter" that Willow got signed for me (thanks, GF) and I have been listening to for days now.

I was prepared to like it because I give everything/one that's associated with The Jovi Machine the benefit of the doubt, but I have to say, even without the Jovi association, I'd love her music.

Give this a listen. It's her song "Testify" as performed on Delaware's "The Tim Qualls Show" on April 28th.

Lorenza`s new album "Soul Shifter" is available on her website, iTunes, Amazon and cdbaby.

Give a listen/looksee to the title track, performed at The Living Room in NYC this past February:

You won't be disappointed with this record.

  1. I just absolutely love this album and have now gone back to listen to her earlier stuff. She's a really neat person too (I've talked to her on Twitter a couple of times) and I can't wait for a concert date in the Philly area.

She does NYC alot, but, like most people, I can't change my schedule around to make it to every show. She promised me that she's working on getting down this way. YAY!

  2. She is a very nice person, besides a great performer. Testify is my fave song off her album too!

In April, I told Lorenza that we were leaving for Atlanta for the Jovi show. Little did we know that she was going to be there too! I missed her reply email since I didn't bring my laptop but she had emailed back that she was going to be in Atlanta too & she was going to perform a couple of songs with the band. We had no clue she would be there since I never saw the email. Weren't we shocked when Lorenza showed up at our seats! She made my family & I feel really special. Lorenza posed for pics with us & gave my boys some special gifts as momentos of the show. We were very honored to meet her. She's very sweet, beautiful, & tiny! (Next lifetime I want her body! LOL!)

    Nice tribute to Lorenza, Hath!
