OK, so I've been a BAD Goddess, writing wise. To try to make up for it, I have two chapters of Online posted.
For the readers of Believe, I'm trying to get that particular muse to speak to me again. I'm re-reading the story now, hoping that the next scene shows itself.
For the readers of Rings, we have a chapter in final edits, and another well underway. It's been a tough bunch of months, priority wise, and we apologize, but this story took a rear seat to real life issues.
Thanks for sticking around, though, and hopefully there will be more updates soon!

Too Few Shows in the Circle Tour
OK, so if you know me well, you know I'm a combination math/comp sci geek.
As such, you should NOT be surprised at the turn this post is taking.
You will be surprised it took me this long.
So. The Circle Tour.
Touted as 135 shows.
Uh, hello? A circle has 360 degrees in it. 135 is barely half a circle.
So, Jovidom, whaddaya say? Massive write in to the guys through Twitter, bonjovi.com and any other avenues:
Would it be kinda cool for me to see this go all over the place, though? Yep.
Will you help?

Richie's Team Edward
...Digs the chivalrous nature of Edward :)
Thanks to BAJG for passing this along. She KNOWS I have a weakness for Richie...
He and Ava stopped by with Ryan Seacrest at the premier of the new Twilight movie...
If you want this for your very own, check out my MediaFire.

Today Show: November 25 ~ Update
Posted up at the BJCT Blog. Right now, there are just the links to the videos posted on MSNBC. When I get home this evening, after prepping Thanksgiving dinner, I'll get the videos and MP3 rips up to the MediaFire location.
As and when pictures and reviews filter in, those will be added.
I will say, I'm very glad to NOT see WWBTF in the set list from this morning.

September...
... light the candles at your Sweet Sixteen
OK, so that doesn't quite make any sense in the context of the band, EXCEPT that the square root of 16 is 4 (remember, I'm a math Geek), and the September picture is a four-shot. OK, I'm satisfied with that.
Given the sheer number of photographs taken of the band, I think they COULD have found a better picture of Richie. I mean, you can't even see much of his face. I love that you get the Stetson... my ALL time favorite headgear of our gorgeous wingman, but I'd love to see more of his smile. Still, you can see the guitar-face and that makes me smile.
Teek looks great. I love the way the black-and-white enhances the lines of muscle in his arms. Damn, he's gotta strong. I wonder if he has to be careful when he shakes hands.
David looks like he's checkout out the audience, as he loves to do. I adore it when he interacts with the crowd. Sure, Jon is a great showman, and nobody can seduce a roomful of people as well as our favorite frontman, but David is playful and fun and really enjoys what he's doing. Maybe he sees my "SHOW ME JOKER" sign lol. He'll see it again in Philly...
Which brings us to Jon. Look at the way he's giving someone right in front of him his undivided attention. How does he do that? How does he single out one person and make that person feel like she's the only one in the room? That's a real skill right there.
Damn.

The Circle Suffers 70% Sales Decline in Week 2
We talked about this a couple days ago, and hinted around at what we thought the issue might be. Tony K posted a fantastic opinion piece on the topic; I highly encourage the read.
For most fans that I know, it's automatic: Bon Jovi comes out with a new record, we buy it. We buy the singles (even if they are sans-Sambora-solo) and we feel disappointed when we can ONLY go to a few shows in different cities near us.
For myself, I'm a late bloomer to the Jovidom. I was a fan back in the 80's but was also a teenager, and had more important things to do than follow a band. I mean, I had prom, marching band, and college to worry about.
I lost track of them in the 90's, having life experiences that included graduate school, my first job, traveling, almost marrying someone who is not the current Mr. Hath, and reconnecting with the now Mr. Hath.
This decade, I had pretty much given up on commercial radio, and opted for all iPod, all the time. I loaded up all my CDs, cassettes, and cassingles (you remember those?) and sure, there was some Bon Jovi in there, but the catalog stopped at New Jersey. I was dealing with married life, having a baby, and following my beloved New England Patriots.
Then the HAND tour hit Gillette.
On a lark, I rounded up some of my other nearly-forty-something friends and we had a great time. We all commented on how we had no idea they were still making music, how great they still sounded, though they looked a little rough around the edges. We didn't know all the songs, but for me, that performance lit a spark.
I started following the band (some would say) fanatically and now I consider myself one of the die-hard fans. I don't belong to the FC, and I don't watch every single interview and commit the words to memory, but I watch most things, remember some, and enjoy the hell out of it.
With The Circle, yes, I purchased three copies of the record (though one was forced on me with the presale tickets to Gillette) am am fortunate to be able to afford to see them seven times next year -- four in one week. (THAT will be an interesting week.... wonder if I'll get the same playlist every night?)
I know lots of fans in the same position, and was surprised at the sales performance of the new record. Tony makes some really great points in his article:
Even the fans who think the band can do no wrong and believes they walk on water (we call them the KoolAid drinkers around here) have to admit that Tony these are valid points.
Still and all, I'm excited for my upcoming Jovi tour experiences. Admittedly, I'm giddy with excitement over getting to see Bon Jovi perform live ~ say what you will, they still put on a hell of a show ~ but I'm more excited to connect with girlfriends from all over the world that I either haven't seen in a long time or haven't met in person yet.

- In this day and age of digital piracy, still managed to move more records than the Jovi.
- Partnering with 4th place network NBC may not have been the smartest move
- Quit shoving WWBTF down our throats (I totally am paraphrasing here, Tony says it with far more flourish and way nicer) there are other songs on the record that are just as good or better
- About the documentary -- was Showtime the best place for it?
Even the fans who think the band can do no wrong and believes they walk on water (we call them the KoolAid drinkers around here) have to admit that Tony these are valid points.

Woodbridge Pictures
LOTS more photos from today. Thanks Foxli and Judith!
OK, anyone else want to get a #11 basketball shirt with SAMBORA on the back?
Seriously, I'm so glad to see these stories of Richie's philanthropy. Don't get me wrong, Jon does some fantastic work, but the other guys give back too, and it's nice to see it talked about.
Go Richie!

Richie Sambora Way
Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora is hugged by fans after Woodbridge residents and public officials gathered Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, in his hometown, Woodbridge, N.J., to name a street in his honor because of his philanthropy.
The 50-year-old Sambora has launched a fundraising effort called, "You Can Go Home," to give back to the community. The program benefits Woodbridge teen Kelly Mahon, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago.
Sambora also financed the new weight room at his alma mater, Woodbridge High School. It's being named in honor of Sambora's father, Adam, who died of cancer in 2007.
The street leading to the school is now Richie Sambora Way.
