Harper Collins has a sneak peak of "inside the book" up here.  My eyes are blurry, as this is the end of a 22 hour day, so I couldn't read any of it, but I could look at the pictures.  Holy hell.

THIS is what I'm dreaming of tonight:

Good Night, my Devoted.

Hear "Superman Tonight" Tonight!!

Thanks to one of my Kiwi Devotees for this little peach :)

Planning to watch the premiere of USA Network’s White Collar tonight?

Word of advice: Don’t fast-forward through the commercials

At some point during the show’s 72-minute episode (beginning at 10 pm/ET), the network will premiere the “Superman Tonight” track from Bon Jovi’s upcoming album The Circle over a nifty new character brand promo starring such USA MVPs as Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, James Roday, Dule Hill, and Jeff Goldblum.

If you can't wait that long, visit the source of this post -- the video is THERE!

It's just a 40-second clip, and may be the same as what was on Amazon, but you get to hear Jonny drawl his way through wanting to be your "Super-mayyyen" tonight...

New Website: The Circle Tour

Good Day, my pretties.  You'll see over on the right hand side, and up in my tab list, there is a new link:

Bon Jovi: The Circle Tour

This is a new blogsite I'm launching with a few friends to attempt to gather all the yummy goodness of the tour in one spot.

Each post in that blog will be for a single show. In that post will be the setlist for the show, along with YouTube footage if available, a link to a SkyDrive folder with the videos, mp3 rips and full bootlegs (again, if available), a link to a PhotoBucket folder into which my friends and I will gather whatever photographs we can find -- yours for the taking of course, and a section for links to reviews, other blogs, etc., that have tour information in them for that particular show.

I'm not kidding myself; this is a HUGE undertaking.

Hell, getting the blog set up took a few hours, and I'm still not convinced I'm happy with it, but it looks better than it did last night.

I don't promise I will find everything, hell, some days I can't find my butt with my own two hands.

So I'm reaching out to you for help.

On the website will be a link to a special email address set up for The Circle Tour ~ as I post this, I'm still working on that. Send whatever links, pics, etc., you can find to that address, and the team will get that up into the blog folders for the appropriate day. The message should contain the concert date and location, just so we don't get confused.

I'm excited about this project, and hope we can see it through. We have several months to gear up, and I've run a pilot post from yesterday's WPLJ "Secret Show".

I hope you want to be a part of putting this site together. If not, I hope you enjoy it!

Tour Info

With New Jersey's New Meadowlands Stadium as their backdrop, GRAMMY Award-winning hometown heroes Bon Jovi performed at a concert and media event today that announced "The Circle World Tour." The band is preparing to spend nearly two years spanning the globe, including the kickoff event of New Meadowlands Stadium, scheduled for May 26th and 27th, 2010.

Advanced tickets to the New Meadowlands Stadium go on sale to American Express Cardmembers beginning at 10am on Monday, October 26th.

*For more information on BON JOVI's North American tour, visit www.BonJovi.com.

The New Meadowlands concerts will go on sale beginning at 10am on Saturday, October 31st, while additional tour dates go on sale November 9th and 16th. Fans should continue to log on to www.bonjovi.com for the most up to date concert and ticket on-sale information.

The band's Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres performed an exclusive set for a select group of 5,000 lucky contest winners, fan club members, and on-site construction workers currently at work building the New Meadowlands Stadium. Bon Jovi was also joined by New York Jets Chairman & CEO Woody Johnson, New York Giants President & CEO, John Mara, as well as President & CEO of the New Meadowlands Stadium Company, Mark Lamping. New York's powerhouse radio station WPLJ DJ, Race Taylor, served as emcee. Live footage of the event is available at www.BonJovi.com. An embeddable player is available at http://www.iclips.net/widgets/jbj/jbj_embed.html.

Beginning with the band's North American tour launch on February 19th, 2010 in Seattle, WA, Bon Jovi will spend much of the next two years on the road, performing 135 shows in 30 countries. Following in the footsteps of their hugely successful "Lost Highway Tour, Bon Jovi will draw fans around the world into The Circle, with a residency at London's O2 arena in June 2010 before returning to America in the fall for an additional nationwide leg, and further dates well into 2011.

"It is often said that the third time is a charm, and in the case of the Bon Jovi/AEG Live relationship, this axiom certainly holds," said Randy Phillips, President and CEO of AEG Live. "AEG Live has been honored to serve as the band's worldwide tour promoters, from the 2005 'Have A Nice Day' tour to the highest grossing tour of 2008, 'Lost Highway,' to the upcoming 'The Circle World Tour' in 2010. Bon Jovi is one of the most prolific and exciting live rock bands in the world."

Having sold more than 120 million albums and performed more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans, Bon Jovi is at their best when they're on the move, and that's truer now than ever before. The November 10th, 2009 release of Bon Jovi's new album, The Circle, and the band's subsequent world tour, provides a powerful reassertion of Bon Jovi's commitment to the hard-hitting rock & roll that has been the band's indelible signature since it began more than 26 years ago.

Bon Jovi on X-Factor

For the UK devotees, the X Factor’s line-up of top acts performing on the show continues next month as Bon Jovi and JLS take to the stage to showcase their latest singles.

Both groups are set to play live on the show on Sunday November 1 as the public - and then the judges - decide which lucky X Factor acts will make it past the elimination sing-off.

Multi-Grammy Award winners Bon Jovi will perform their single We Weren’t Born to Follow ahead of the (UK) launch of their new album The Circle on November 2. The record hits the shelves in the US on November 10.

Goddess expects SOMEONE will put this up on YouTube for our consumption. When it happens, I'll let you know :)

Richie Blurb from Broadway.TV

Thanks, Devotee W, for sending me the link to this...

Hmmm, he seems kind of put out by whatever question he was asked. He seems ALMOST ornery at the start of the 29-second clip lol. There's a little Tico bonus at the beginning, too.

Why does Bon Jovi make me want to flick my Bic?

Because their music is amazing. The Bic-flicking tracks like Never Say Goodbye, Always, Bitter Wine, I’ll Be There For You, (It’s Hard) Letting You Go, Dry County... move me in a way that other so-called power ballads don’t. Chalk it up to being a child of the 80’s, and growing up with these songs as THE soundtrack to my memories (uh, hello, Senior Prom 1987 — NSG — need I say more?)

There are so many things I admire about this band…

... The fact that they’re not afraid to reach outside their comfort zone (TLFR) and not give a rat’s patootie what the critics say.

... The fact that the members of the band have other interests besides “being in Bon Jovi”. Have you SEEN Tico’s art? Laughed your butt off at Toxie? Enjoyed Richie’s line of guitars and solo career? Watched any of Jon’s movies?

... The fact that they GIVE BACK when they don’t have to. If you look in Wikipedia under “philanthropy” I think there’s a JonBon photo somewhere on the page. The money that the Tico Torres Golf Classic raises, the events Richie does for the Midnight Mission, the work David does for Only Make Believe, Save The Music, Music for All… come ON!

... The fact that they’re all great dads, and love and protect their kids

Bon Jovi is so much more than just “a hair-band from the 80’s who is still making music”. They are real men with real families, real problems, and a real talent for making me smile. They inspire me in so many ways (some family friendly, some not lol) and have led me to meet so many wonderful people through a joint love of this band that I wouldn’t otherwise know.

When I flick my Bic, it isn’t just because the tune demands it.

It’s in celebration of the wonderful things the band does, on and off the stage.

It’s in celebration of the myriad of emotions they can evoke and emote with just a fingertip or a long-held note.

It’s in celebration of the fellow members of the Sisterhood of the Brotherhood who have joined my extended family.

It’s in celebration of the joy that is, and God willing, will for many more years be, Bon Jovi.

DVR Alert (Rumor)

CALLING ALL DEVOTEES!

There may be a sighting on NBC's "Extra" today.

A musician in the band "The Swellers" Tweeted this a couple of hours ago:

just was on camera for 'extra', asking jon bon jovi and ritchie sambora questions. look for us tonight to see if we're on!

No offense to The Swellers, but good for you, but I wanna see the GUYS!

To find out when it's airing in your area, click here. It most likely will be up on their website at some point, but seeing it "as it happens" as it were is always better :)

In the greater Boston area, it's on NBC Channel 7 @ 7:30pm

DVR, SET (just in case). I love FIOS. I can totally set it up to record whatever I want from my desk :) I lack the necessary gadgetry to get it from my DVR to my PC. SO, if someone out there in JoviLand can do the honors, I'd be most appreciative!

WWWB Showtime Teaser

Like most of Jovidom, I was glued to my PC last night for about 14 minutes, watching the teaser from the documentary. The ever-lovely Catte posted a brief play-by-play on a board we both frequent, and I unashamedly stole it to post here.

The pic was a screen cap that another poster, RJ, put up, and I cropped for maximum hotty goodness.

Here's the re-cap:
Starts with helicopter landing (scene from the trailer that's been out for a couple weeks)

JBJ running up on stage & starting Lost Highway

Kid Rock talking intercut with Prayer & In These Arms

JBJ getting mauled by the crazy Irish chick -- "not scratch & sniff, Baby!" (LOL!)

JBJ changing his shirt!!!!!!!!

Jon working at the hotel, on the phone -- a LOT. Talking about what he may do over the summer -- NFL team? Work for Obama? Shows a little of his convo with someone interested in bringing him into the NFL (the whole "I'm a CEO of a major corp running a brand" thing)

Tico golfing and talking about Jon's multitasking focus vs. his "live in the now" - ever so cool, our Teek!

JBJ smoking and working some more

David talking about how critics give them very little recognition, and Jon's chip on his shoulder that drives him to prove himself every day

WONDERFUL soundcheck scene, Jon talking about writing, art is subjective... then he and Richie soundcheck Diamond Ring GAHHHHH! Gorgeous!!!!

Richie talking about fans/fanatacism, how songs give fans comfort & inspiration

JBJ talking about how he couldn't change his path...tried to write the intimate songs, nobody liked it (TLFR). Talked about how he has to try to compromise to give the fans what they want (the hits) and still give himself what he needs as an artist -- cut to him performing Hallelujah....

End of Clip.

Followed by "Behind the Scenes with Bon Jovi" -- Basically an expanded version of the one already on the SHO site; more of JBJ talking about starting out in Jersey, being "The Kid" who played Stone Pony, Fastlane, etc. when Bruce & The Jukes had already been discovered

JBJ talking about how he came to write Runaway -- inspired by looking out the bus window at the druggies & hookers outside the Lincoln Tunnel an feeling lucky for what he had.

JBJ talking about first time he heard Runaway on radio in 1983, crossing the Driscoll Bridge in Sayreville -- wanted to roll down the windows & scream & yell & drive fast & get pulled over by cops so he could tell them he was on the radio!

Whew!

I'll be at Mom's house Saturday night, sitting a foot and a half from the TV, telling her to SHHHHHH the whole time.

OK, I can't stop looking at that screen cap. I can't WAIT for the DVD to arrive so I can watch it at home on the wall. Yep, the wall. No mere TV for this Goddess. We have an HD projector that gives us movie-theater quality, 128" picture. *melt* I know it's a sin to wish any part of your life away, and I respect that, but damn I don't want to wait for the DVD to arrive!

Rock of Ages: The Movie

Adam Shankman, the man behind the recent film adaptation of HAIRSPRAY, has just signed on to do the same for ROCK OF AGES.

The play features a love story set to the ‘80s sounds of Journey, Twisted Sister, Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar and more. Shankman is excited about the project, and has adopted a “go big or go home” mentality about it, due to the fact that he thinks he’s going to be able to reach a wider audience thanks to the tunes of the play.

"I had the best time of my life making 'Hairspray' and badly wanted another musical, and when I watched 'Rock of Ages,' I was struck by the fact that not only had much of the audience seen it more than once, every guy in the audience knew the words to the songs. What an extraordinary opportunity to open the genre to an audience that otherwise wouldn't go see a musical."

"I'm thinking big, and absolutely am going to attempt to cast with movie stars. Now that musicals are working again, actors are much more open to it."

In case you don't know what the story is about, here's a brief synopsis.

It’s the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net, Lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips last legendary venues, a place where sex machine Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and scantily clad groupies line up to turn their fantasies into reality. Amidst the madness, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing (and longs for small-town girl Sherri, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes). But the rock and roll fairy-tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another capitalist strip mall. Can Drew, Sherri and the gang save the strip–and themselves–before it's too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and more hold the answer.

I haven't seen the play, but hear it was fantastic. Who would YOU like to see in it?

Thanks to devotee D for these gems!! Partials of some really great songs. Good quality, too.

I don't have the order right, this is just the order in which I accessed them on YouTube. If someone knows the correct order, I'll fix the post.

JonBon in Camden

Jon Bon Jovi was in Camden Monday to officially open a new elementary school playground.

Camden, New Jersey consistently ranks as one of the nation's most impoverished cities, and the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation is one of many charities trying to help the city.

After touring the Rafael Cordero Molina Elementary School playground, Bon Jovi explained that the kids had helped create the plans for the play space.

"But, I have to tell you that it was important for them to participate in the planning because it's in fact the first step in envisioning dreams that can come true," Bon Jovi said. "I mean, if I didn't dream to one day strum a guitar on the world stage, who knows where I would have ended up."

The old playground equipment was taken out and a modern, $83,600 playground with slides, a tunnel, rock wall for climbing and balance beams took its place. The nonprofit KaBOOM! provided the building expertise, and SAP put up the money and the workers. The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation convinced SAP to support a Camden project.

The Foundation is also helping pay to turn vacant lots in Camden into landscaped public spaces.

Memphis!

Memphis opened last night on Broadway. There are "official" reviews all over the place, but I like reading audience reactions from the man-on-the-street.

Thanks to Devotee J who, as always, has peppered my inbox with all sorts of yummy goodness. These shots are from last night. For those of us who love Huey, he turned out to support David. They looked like they had a GREAT time.

Jon was conspicuously missing. Wonder what he had going on last night? Hope the wife and kiddies are okay, and I hope he didn't hurt anything building that playground in Camden yesterday.

As an aside, I believe I know the reason why Jon won't make Huey official, and have him in the photo shoots. I didn't realize how blasted TALL the man is! Holy crap! David and Rich are no slouches in the altitude department, but Hugh is almost a head taller than D in these pics!

** CRAPLOAD OF PHOTOS ALERT **

If you don't want to snag all of these pics, I've put the zipfiles that J sent me up on my SkyDrive.
