MSG Trailer

Apparently, yes, the MSG DVD IS coming out!!

YouTube has it up

In case it disappears, I've put it up to my SkyDrive

Gotta say, I'm excited for this to come out. I love concert footage. From the bit that was shown on the trailer, it looks like it'll be great. From some of the comments on the vid, sounds like some people aren't impressed -- they're harping on the overdubs and how their boot of the show sounds totally different.

Uh, no kidding. Unless you were up at the soundboard, it's gonna sound different!

In any event, this is definitely going on my shopping list.

There isn't a release date listed, but I've gotta believe the marketing foks know December would be the best time for this release -- between Christmas coming and the new tour ramping up.... it's just the little bit we need to whet our appetites.

But come ON already!

I'm HUNGRY!

Warning: Don't Piss On Me

There's a disturbing trend lately at the TD Banknorth Center in Boston where one or more drunks decide they're to lazy to go to the men's room, and pee all over the people near them.

You read right.

Pee.

On people.

As in EW!

It happened earlier this week at a Kiss concert, and earlier this year by one of Boston's "finest" at a Metallica show. (Don't judge all Staties by this one loser's actions. Most of them are worthy of the badges they wear.)

But I digress; take this missive as fair warning.

If you are behind me at a show -- any show -- and feel the urge to pee, go to the men's room.

Do not, I repeat NOT, pee in the venue within arm's reach of me.

Or I will rip your dick off.

My sensai tells me I have freakishly strong upper-body strength for a girl, so I know physically I could probably do some serious damage. I have a 9-year old boy, so I've been puked on and peed on more times than is necessary, so pee, while it would gross me out, is something I know I can wash off.

It would be no big thing to reach over, grab your lil weenie and wrench it sideways so hard your eyes would sink into your skull.

I have tolerance for lots of stupid drunk pranks. I've even participated in a few. I do NOT tolerate abject stupidity or the misuse of bodily fluids.

Fair warning.

Don't piss on me.

More from Burrn

Thanks to the ever lovely @TokyoRockChick for the translations :)

Jon described some songs in the interview of BURRN.
TRC tried to translate it into English as its written in Japanese.
Therefore its not exactly same as Jon's words, specially lyrics part since I have no idea about it. (Those are her words. I think she did a fantastic job).

Here ya go:
Superman Tonight
This would be the most Boy-Girl song.
There was a girl, I watched her from far away, but I was powerless.
She's like a pinball machine in a way, rolled over many guys.
She's very beautiful & smart, however, she thought that it would be much more happy if she could have a little more confidence.
This song is a kind of observation diary. And Im a fly on a wall.

Broken Promise Land
I sing about the state that the personal world collapses. There is a guy I know who has no luck badly.
Everything does not go well, the stock, business, buying and selling of the house, kid's school... He is late 40s.
He works but its not profitable and he does not even enjoy it.
He wants to find his way again (rediscover himself) soon but its not easy.
Its difficult to give up everything you got now and start over again from zero (a brand-new life).
People like him are the chief characters of the story. But its the reality Ive seen.
He left NY and started his new life which was sober in an unknown land.
But he had lived in the era of dreams and hopes in 20s-30s, so it makes him wonder why he is here now.
They are divided into "successful man" and "No successful man" in late 40s.
And they notice the severe reality, that the life he had is much longer than the life he will have ahead.
"What have I really achieved?" I know lots of people who think like that.
Its not too late, but this is a sort of test if we can stay who we are, when we look at ourselves in the mirror.

Happy Now
I wrote this lyrics on the next day of the presidential election.
Are we going to be happy at last? Can we take a break?
"What would you say if I talk about my dream? You might say just sleep again? Look at my tired eyes, but at last my life is back.
Maybe I can change something. Hope runs through my vein. I wont back to pain." - the lyrics is like that.
"Pain" means 8 years till then. "Are we going to be happy at last?" I wrote this kind of lyrics right after the new President was born.
Its just one year ago. Tell the truth, I was concerned if we really needed to find an answer "Yes" or "No".
But its not timely. Now its time to be judged if the promises were real thing.

Fast Cars
This is also about me. I took a holiday with Richie in spring. Desmond Child was also there,
We're on the beach in Saint Barts island & talked about similar subject like now, "What is the legend? Is it to let go? Or is it to make?"
The story is there're drivers who always follow taillights, on the other hand, there're ppl who drive at their pace & go their own way.
I mean, lets go on our own roads forever! In this album, there are lots of similar themes as I hate to follow someone.
I at last got a position to be able to say like that, but so many people are stuck in the same trap, they are scared of change.
Thorn In My Side This is the song that I wrote with Richie in the beginning. I wrote it almost before I met him.
I want something worthwhile after I wake up every morning. I got here with such a long career, still Im not satisfied,
I want to be bigger and work more. I want to complain to guys who complain.
I just live my life in the way I am everyday, though. I sometimes have to accept the reality, such as wrinkles around my eyes. LOL!
The thorn is a kind of motivation.

Not sure what to make of these. I guess I have to hear them before I decide. The descriptions sound like the songs could get a little preachy, but I'm reserving judgment until November 10th.

Everybody Rides on the Karma Train

And sometimes, you get shoved off.

I had an accident this morning coming into work. As I was crossing the platform after de-training, my ankle buckled, and I went down hard. Landed on my side in a puddle of muddy water, and twisted my knee. Did I mention I was wearing a white t-shirt today? Thank GOD I wore a bra :)

My ankle's all swollen, my knee is bleeding (though I didn't tear my pants; how the HELL did that happen?) and everyone's wondering why I'm wearing my jacket in the building today. I'm wet, bleeding, sore, cold, and in desperate need of a smile.

I will say, though, there were five people who came to help me. Two big guys helped me up, I was shaking too hard to do it myself, and another grabbed my bags off the platform. Two women walked with me to my building to make sure I was OK.

If you're out there, thank you. Your kindness was very much appreciated and I hope will be returned tenfold to you.

So needless to say, after all that I need a little pick-me-up. And this was just the trick this morning.

*sigh* And it's only Wednesday....

Lord help me.

Burrn, baby Burrn

No, not in a "Disco Inferno" but I know that's what you've been thinking.

No, these are shots from the magazine spread -- at least that's what I've been told.

Not sure if these were used in the mag or discarded as "failed cover shots", but they're good nonetheless.

Also, in the magazine, according to @TokyoRockChick on Twitter:

Bon Jovi will play for the opening of NEW Giants Stadium in May 2010. Jon didnt mention how many shows. Is this New Meadowlands Stadium?

Bon Jovi tour will start from Hawaii on 14th Feb 2010. Only 1 show or 2 shows there. Its a sort of warming up.

The capacity of the venue (arena) in Hawaii is about 10,000.

When they're back in US, the tour is supposed to start from Seattle.

Bon Jovi will play 20 shows at London O2 Arena in Jun 2010.

They will return to US in July 2010 & tour again at stadiums.

Bon Jovi will take a holiday in Aug & Sep 2010. There's no schedule after that just yet.

Japan tour might be in fall 2010.

I don't care where they start or end up, as long as they ANNOUNCE already! And come close enough to Bahstin that I don't have to sell a kidney to go. Though you DO only need one kidney.... Hmmmmm.....

Soul Volunteer Events

In the Philly/Camden area...

The foundation is doing another greenup day tomorrow if people are interested in helping out:

Where: Broadway and Martin Luther King Boulevard (NW Corner), Camden, NJ, 08102

On the day of the event, they will clean and green the slice of property where Camden’s Farmer’s Market opens every Friday, with the aim of making it a far more pleasant place for visitors to pick up their produce and other products every week. They will be planting grass, shrubs and trees on site, as well as raking stone dust over the place where the Farmer’s Market sets up and digging holes for the fence they'll use to encircle the site.

Events are also planned for the 9th & 19th this month. Check out this link for details.

Here's a link to a video that was shot at the last greenup event in September.

If you're in the area, don't just go on the off chance you'll meet HRH (though any incentive is good incentive lol) Go because it'll make your Soul feel good :)

Eye Candy

JonBon in DC

Jon Bon Jovi's got soul -- the kind that rocks a stadium and revitalizes the neighborhood around it.

The lead singer of Bon Jovi used his "celebrity equity" Monday morning to draw attention to the dire state of urban development for the annual World Habitat Day.

"I was staring out the window of the hotel room I was staying at [in Philadelphia] and saw a homeless man sleeping on the steps of city hall," Bon Jovi said. "I didn't want to just help him, I wanted to fix it."

In the past, Bon Jovi has associated his name and efforts with various charitable organizations. But five years ago, he said, he found a unique way to combine his passion for philanthropy and community service.

"So what did I do? I bought a football team," Bon Jovi gabbed.

The cornerstone for Bon Jovi's Soul Foundation was set through the arena football team, with the proceeds from games funneled into charitable organizations. Bon Jovi said he didn't want to name the team after a warrior or impressive animal; he chose the name "soul" because "everyone believes they have soul."

The Soul Foundation is a small nonprofit organization that initiates partnerships with other nonprofits, government agencies, philanthropists, financiers and mom-and-pop shops.

"Our work in Philadelphia may have started small, but we continued to think big and today the Soul Foundation is responsible for over 200 units of affordable housing," Bon Jovi said.
