Anniversary...

Thanks, Catte, for the heads up...

August 6th, 1993: The day that Mayor Ed Rendell, declared that day to be Bon Jovi Day!!!

Like we NEED a reason to celebrate the wonder that is Bon Jovi???

Next week? The 20th Anniversary of the Moscow Music Peace Festival.

Time to scour YouTube!

Guitar Zeus

Everyone's all a-twitter (note lowercase 't', not uppercase) about Richie being part of Carmine Appice's "Guitar Zeus" dual-CD that's coming out on August 18th.

I have to tell you, the song Riche's on? Gonna Rain? It's been out for years on other "Guitar Zeus" compilations released in 2006, 2002, and 2000.

Don't get me wrong, the double CD set has some amazing tracks on it, including work from Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Brian May and Dweezil Zappa to name a few, but "Gonna Rain" is old work for Richie. Good work, but old nonetheless.

Work for the Working Man ~ MP3 rip

Thanks, DeeDee, for the find!

Full song & excellent quality (for a change)! From the EIF event earlier this year.

I'm here, trying to make a living
And I ain't living just to die
Never getting back what I'm giving
Won't someone help me, someone justify
Why these strong hands are on the unemployment line
And there's nothing left, what's on my mind

Who's gonna work for the working man?
Work for the working man
(Work) Get the hands in the dirt, who's gonna work of the curse
(Work) Brother I've been damned, if I don't raise a hand
Work for the work, work, work for the working man
Work, work, working man

Empty pockets, full of worries
I had to get two jobs and it was hard enough getting by
But with the grace of God I'm getting us through
But only know that I know how to do
That I'm the only one who's gotta look my family in the eye
Day after day, night after night

Who's gonna work for the working man?
Work for the working man
(Work) Get the hands in the dirt, who's gonna work of the curse
(Work) Brother I've been damned, if I don't raise a hand
Work for the work, work, work for the working man
Work, work, working man
Work, work, working man

I lost my pension, they took my ID
These were my friends, these were my dreams
These were my hopes, these are my dreams
Can you hear me?

Who's gonna work for the working man?
Work for the working man
(Work) Get the hands in the dirt, who's gonna work of the curse
(Work) Brother I've been damned, if I don't raise a hand
Work for the work, work, work for the working man
Work, work, working man
Work, work, working man

I lost my pension, they took my ID
These were my friends, these were my dreams
These were my hopes, these are my streets

I'm ripping the vid and MP3 for posting later -- I can't do it from work.

Enjoy!

Another find (thanks "related YT search") is a cover of Jimmy Barnes' Working Class Man from Melbourne in 1993. An oldie as far as cover tunes go, but I don't I've heard this before. I'm ripping that MP3 as well, and will post the whole shebang later tonight.

Handprints in Munich ~ Video

I came across these photos in a random search :) Thought I'd share them.

Any of my devoted seen these first hand? (pun firmly intended)

I gotta know; are Teek's hands really that small?

The Olympiapark is the location of Munich’s very own walk of fame, the “Munich Olympic Walk of Stars.”

Update: Here's a vid of the event... Thanks, B! And Rike, thanks for the pics :)
