Blue Parrot Update

Mystery continues to shroud the reopening of Blue Parrot. Management has promised to be elusive when it comes to an opening date, but that hasn't stopped curious minds from wandering down the restaurant's alley. Me too. We hit Town today (yes, downtown has a capital 'T' out here lol) and it looked just like the pic above. You couldn't peek in the windows. Not open yet.

My MIL is a resident of East Hampton, and promises me a T-shirt once they open (allegedly, they'll only be for sale to those who can prove EH residency. Nice.)

She's also offered to chauffeur us around if any of you care to come out here to the Hamptons for a margarita :)

Oh What a Knight

(sorry, couldn't resist)

Richie Sambora, Per Gessle, Knight Scott Greenstein, and Steven Van Zandt at the Swedish residence in New York on May 20.

Scott Greenstein, the Chief Content Officer of Sirius XM, created a show that promotes Swedish music in North America. For that, he was — just last week — awarded the insignia of Knight of the Royal Order of the Polar Star by Ambassador Ulf Hjertonsson, Consul General of Sweden in New York (acting on behalf of the King of Sweden), at a ceremony at the Swedish residence on Park Avenue.

Guests in attendance included actor and musician Steven Van Zandt, director Lasse Hallström and actress Lena Olin; guitarist Richie Sambora); professional skateboarder Tony Hawk; singer Peter Jöback; Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers; celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson; and media host Martha Stewart.

With this distinction, Greenstein is recognized for the strides made by the Nordic Rox program in introducing Swedish music and popular culture to American audiences.

June...

...they'll let me take you to my junior prom...

I told you the song reference would get weird right about now.

But could you IMAGINE taking THIS one to prom?

Remember how Taylor Swift did that contest/reality show to see who she'd go to prom with? Jon should do the same thing, only it's a contest to see who he'll accompany to their 20th or greater HS reunion. What do you say?

Could you just picture that? I know my girlfriends would all faint. Then they'd make me their hero :)

Anyway, on to this picture.

I love the whole sepia-tone theme. I do that with some of my photos; it makes them more dramatic.

Like in this picture.

Look at Jon's left bicep bulging...Dramatic

And the way the veins on his right arm stand out -- like he REALLY means to be pointing forcefully at someone...Dramatic

And look at the way the tight denim crinkles around his hips and knees.

And that right thigh muscle. Holy CRAP!

Oh, and then there's Davey in the lower right hand corner, making kissy faces again and showing his own slice of chest. You can JUST see the edge of the Joker tat *shudders deliciously*

...Don't get me started on him. I absolutely love his mouth.

And Richie making his own pouty/kissy face. Damn, you already know how I feel about him...

But back to the contest.

What do you think?

Should we start a petition?

The Blue Parrot is gearing up for their June re-opening, maybe he was doing some advance work? The East Hampton Star reports that The Blue Parrot’s menu will emphasize fresh and local produce, fish, cheese, poultry, and wine. A late-night menu will be available after 10 p.m. There will be weekly “dirty bird Tuesdays,” with drink and food specials for locals, and on opportunity to purchase an official Blue Parrot T-shirt offered only to those who can prove their residency with a driver’s license. The restaurant will also screen classic surfer films, spaghetti westerns, and an occasional sporting event.

I'm sure we'll be out visiting the inlaws frequently over the sumnmer. We'll try to get a review for you. Sounds like it used to be a fun place, hope it continues to be!

This Makes Me Happy

Richie.

His Acoustic.

His Stetson.

Singing Stranger.

AND We All Sleep Alone.

When he's licking his lips around 2:34? Has me thinking naughty NAUGHTY things.

The way he moves, like the music is flowing through him; the way his eyes slide closed just to pop open again and focus on something across the room *shuddering sigh*

And I'm fascinated by the strings on the holes in Riche's jeans. What happens if I pull on them? Will the holes grow larger?

I could listen to this on a loop for hours.....
