Jonny Sighting!

One of my friends has sighted your Jonny!

She and some friends decided to go to the Washington Hilton just for the hell of it.

They were able to watch VIPs get out of cars from where they are. From her report, JBJ looks mega-hot in classic black tux & bow-tie. Dot looks GORGEOUS in a green dress. She really stands out, so look for her if you watch the broadcast.

They also saw Sting & Trudie and Jason Bateman. They're on their way to the bar now and have promised to raise a glass to me :) GIRLS! I'm having my own little drinky pooh lol

So, you know what to look for on Getty, Wenn, etc...lol

Ciao for now!

Jon Bon hits DC

I got word from a friend "In The Know" that Jon Bon will definitely be at the White House dinner tomorrow night. He may arrive as early as tonight (so you may want to go have a drink or two at the Bourbon Steak Lounge at the Four Seasons in Georgetown lol).

If anyone's out and about in DC this weekend, keep an eye out!

New Songs Leaked!

According to the board over at Dry County, five songs from the new album have leaked (When We Were Beautiful among them).

So, keep trolling the torrent sites. Eventually, someone will want to share. Mixed reviews of what's been leaked so far, but I like to make up my own mind. After all, if I'd listened to reviews and opinion, I never would have listened to TLFR, and it's one of my favorite Jovi albums.

Anyway, if I hear anything else more concrete, or end up with any first-hand knowledge, I'll be sure to let you know.

Ciao, my devoted...

This Makes Me Happy

I absolutely love this song...

The musical intro is pure sex, and when his voice kicks in? It makes me want. GOD it makes me want...

Sensual things...

Dirty things...

But mostly, I want to dance to this song with him...

Sure the intimate dance....

But more than that....

Picture it... A dark, smoke-filled room... the scents of stale beer and of lust in the air...scarred oaken tables with mismatched chairs litter the floor...all but one small area, barely large enough to stand in.

The music starts up and you can't help it.

You have to MOVE. You rise from the table where you sit with him. The music slips into your bloodstream like a drug, numbing you to all but the most base of instincts... You start to move. Writhe, actually, slinking this way and that. Your eyes close and your head drops back so your hair sways along with your body...

You raise your arms to the heavens and worship the music.

Then you feel him step up behind you. You feel his body press up against yours, and his arm wraps around your waist, pulling you to him. Your head drops back onto his shoulder, turning away from him so he can suck at your neck. Your arms drop.

One bends at the elbow to let you cradle the back of his head.

The other wraps around him to cup his ass.

As you move together to the music, everything else disappears.

Everything.

Except the music.

The music drives you wild. The MAN drives you wild. You move together; two halves of one whole. As the notes slide one into the next, so you slide down his body until he drags you back up, spinning you hard to face him. He grips the sides of your head holding you, a willing prisoner.

All the while you're still moving. Grinding against each other in a sensual dance. So lost are you in his eyes that you don't realize you're moving into the shadows. You hardly notice the wall at your back as he pressed you into it.

He leans in closer, and you can taste his breath. His eyes never leave yours as he touches his lips to yours softly, teasingly. All it takes is one growl, one whimper, and his tenuous hold on his control snaps.

He presses his mouth hard to yours, demanding your lips to open. When they do he takes. He takes possession of you as swiftly and as completely as the music did. He leaves nothing unexplored. No corner of your mouth untouched. When his hands slide up to grip your hair you lose your control and inch away from the wall.

He knows what you're going to do even as you start to move. He instinctively gives your body room without breaking the kiss. You jump up, wrapping your legs around his waist. He brings you back to the wall hard enough to make your breath hitch.

All the while he is still moving.

Still dancing, writhing, grinding to the music...

....Or, maybe that's just me.

~ Hath

You never really know
You never really know
You make your plan so carefully
But it burns out of control

You never really see
Though you never really see
Something hiding in the shadows
Brings you screaming to your knees

You can hold it in your hands
Think you feel it in your soul
You never really know
You never really know

No...

Who can ever tell?
Who can ever tell?
Will it lead you up to heaven?
Or drag you down to hell?

Won't you hold it in your hands?
Don't ever let it go
You never really know
You never really know

Ooh...

Won't you hold it in your hands?
Don't ever let it go
You never really know
You never really know

The Longest Minute EVER

And I apologize in advance for subjecting you to this, but really, I had no choice. I had to suffer, and Mama always said sharing your suffering makes the load easier to bear.

So bear this.

Now, what was worth it was some of the comments. Gems like:

NJ Hall Of Fame Induction

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

The New Jersey Hall of Fame, created by state law in 2005, honors Garden State residents who have made outstanding contributions to their home state, the nation and the world, according to the nonprofit organization.

The inductees were selected using a three-step process. First, 200 nominees were chosen by expert panels in five categories -- historical, general, arts and entertainment, sports and enterprise. Next, six candidates from each category were picked by a committee chaired by Corzine. Finally, the inductees were chosen through a public voting process.

Jon Bon Jovi -- introduced by the governor as "Mr. Jersey" -- was welcomed to the stage by delighted screams from the crowd.

"New Jersey was the place I was born, it's the place I learned to walk, talk and play the guitar," he said. "I'll stack up Jersey to just about anywhere there is."

Before joining Southside Johnny in a rendition of "We're Having Party," Bon Jovi took a moment to recognize the young soldier introduced by Petraeus.

"I'd like top express my gratitude to Lieutenant Brennan for exemplifying what New Jerseyans are about," he said.

There's gotta be a YouTube of that JBJ/SSJ performance :) Right?

Lots more pictures here...

By all fan accounts, a fantastic show, though with the sun, the boys left their shades on... Well Jon and Rich did ;)

Lots more photos scavenged from various sites and emails (thanks for thinking of me girls!)

Anxiously awaiting FM's review of the show. She called me last night to tell me how ON Richie was, and how amazing the show was. sigh. Then our cell connection went kerfluey. It's a word. I swear.

Pretty generic set list (with no alternate vox) though they DID get In These Arms, which is one of the best songs they've done, IMO. Though I do have to say *ducks in anticipation* I like David's version better than the band version. Something about just the piano and that amazing voice....

And can I say I'm all set with pairing Shout with Bad Medicine? NO? Tough. I'm ALL SET with it.

Some of the links are clips; as/if/when I find better ones, I'll update :)
