Toxic Interview (Part I)
TimeLife has uploaded the first part of their exclusive interview with David Bryan and Joe DiPietro, the producers of "The Toxic Avenger" musical. The show just premiered to wildly enthusiastic audiences on Broadway. Check it out at the New World Stages in NYC.
They went backstage and talked to David and Joe; watch the guys give you the inside scoop on how the musical came together. And there are plenty of jokes about New Jersey, too.
TimeLife promises that there's plenty more of that exclusive interview to be published. Goddess is ALL over that, and will keep an eye out.

YouTube is freaking ADDICTING!
So, I came across this, and remembered LMAO when I saw it on TV.
"How much luck am I gonna need?"
"More than you had at the grammys..."
So, of course, I had to do another search, b/c I totally remember seeing the ArenaBowl version of this "Welcome to Arena Football" that took place in the fictional Montecito Hotel, in Vegas (Loved that TV show, btw... Las Vegas was one of the good ones). And of COURSE I found it :)
"Whatcha you doin' in Vegas, little buddy?"
The end of this video is freaking hysterical; Jon in the powder blue tux doing the muzak version of Bad Name, and "No kid, I'm Brett Favre".... lmao
And, just because it came up next... If you love the Soul, and you love Jaws, AND you love nuns, you'll love this....
OK, now I have to go do some actual work before I get in trouble.

On This Day in 2002...
Jon and Richie took part in a "Willie Nelson and Friends" special called "Stars and Guitars". They performed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
I loved this special when I caught it on GAC way back when. I have ALWAYS loved Willie Nelson -- mostly because my dad does. Love his long hair, the twang in his voice, and the way that man can sing a story.
I'll have this up on my SkyDrive later tonight.

Who Remembers Teen Beat Magazine?
I'm PRETTY sure I have that purple blazer in my mom's house somewhere.... and Jon's lil pleasure trail looks more like a pleasure thicket. Holy fur, batman.
I love how in this pic Richie looks all serious and Jon is playful. Quite the opposite of how they photograph now, no?

Heart of America
I've listened to this song a zillion times, but this is the first time I saw the vid.
Ahhhhh...Just love it.
My daddy said he,
he came here to love this land
And like my daddy, I was raised to love this land
Hard working people son to son
and doing the best that they can
They came here only hearts in hand
A feat that any honest man could understand
You can hear the voices calling
In the heart of America
Can you hear the voices calling
In the Heart of America
When I was a young boy
I swore I'd try to fill his shoes
When you're born with nothing,
you aint got nothing left to lose
But you gotta listen people,
cause we're got something yeah
Were in the heart of America
With your back against the wall,
there aint no relief in sight
Like soldiers we can take it,
well, make it through the cold dark night
You can hear the voices calling
In the heart of America
Can you hear the voices calling
In the Heart of America
You can hear the voices calling
In the heart of America
And all the people theyre singing
sha la la la la sha la la la
In the heart of America
Sha la la la la sha la la la
In the heart of America
And I hope that someday,
that I might live to have a son
And I would teach him all the things
That his daddys daddy had done
But when that someday comes
Will you tell your son about the
Heart of America
Of America
You can hear the voices calling
In the heart of America
Can you hear the voices calling
In the Heart of America
Can you hear the voices calling
In the heart of America
Everybodys singing sha la la la
Sha la la la la sha la la la

Hey, so I've been away...
...being a mommy and auntie and stuff....
Amyway, T and I wrote a new chapter of Rings, and T was great enough to proof and post it.
I spent a great few days in the Hamptons playing with my gorgeous nephew and my equally gorgeous Hathlet :) My SIL is communicating with sign language with my lil nephew, and damned if he hasn't been picking it up. He made my heart sing today -- he signed for me and when I went running over to play with him, I got the biggest smile, and he lifted his arms for an Auntie hug.
On one of our excursions to make sure the ocean was still there (apparently the Hamptonites are afraid it'll dry up or something -- there's a rule that if you leave the house, you have to go check) we went past Jon's place on Lily Pond. The gates were WIDE open, but nobody came out to greet us. Guess I should have called first, huh?
Oh, and in case you were curious, the ocean was still there.
Work's still being done on Blue Parrot; we walked by, and tried to peek through the windows, but they were still blocked.
Hmmm, what else?
*sigh* Nothing, I guess. I had a slight psychotic break over the weekend. My BIL is the most obnoxious, self-centered egotistical jerk on the planet. It all got to be too much, and I had to actually leave the room to keep from killing him. I could still hear him, so plugged in to my JoviPod and guess what was next on the randomizer?
Once again, Karma and Jovi combine to make me feel better. That's save number one thousand, six hundred, forty seven now, I think.
