Hello, David!

Bon Jovi band member David Bryan, model Sessilee Lopez and clothing designer Jamison Earnest attend the Yellow Fever launch party at RdV on February 19, 2009 in New York City.
I'm sorry, but he just looks like the nicest guy! That smile reaches all the way to his eyes.
DAVID! Hanging around NYC? Be sure to make a swing through South Philly next week...
PS: Anyone have that David-closeup shot without the watermark? *bats eyelashes fetchingly*

I Love The Tabloids

I know, that's a dirty thing to love. But hell, when I read this story this morning, it made me laugh out loud. Made my problems actually seem imporant, which made me feel a whole hell of a lot better....
This is from "My Park Magazine"
Jon Bon Jovi is losing his hair.Does he need help with that? I have strong fingers and long nails that aerate the scalp quite nicely :)
The 46-year-old rocker - who was famed for his luxurious mullet in the 80s - is so horrified by his receding hairline, he massages his scalp every day to encourage it to grow back.
He said: "Oh, let me tell you, I am so worried. I look at guys like Sting and think, 'Well, he's cool about losing his hair,' but I'm already losing a bit and I'm so aware of it. Someone told me that you have to regularly massage your scalp so I do that all the time. You look like a jerk but it's got to be worth a shot."

Jon Bon Jovi to guest on "New Conan"
So you know that Conan O'Brien isn't going to host the Conan O'Brien show anymore right? (he's going to be the new "Tonight" show host) And that Jimmy Fallon is taking over the helm... Well Robert De Niro and Van Morrison will be the guests for Fallon's March 2 debut hosting the NBC late-night show.
Fallon replaces Conan O'Brien, who has his final show Friday.
Morrison will perform material from his critically praised "Astral Weeks" album.
NBC says Tina Fey, Jon Bon Jovi, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Donald Trump and Serena Williams are among other guests scheduled for Fallon's first week on "Late Night."
(Unless of course, Jon cancels this too. Wait, did I just make that catty remark? Why yes, I do believe I did.)

May...
...maybe if I ask your dad and mom...
Two men...
Tight jeans...
Oh my....
I know a good number of you are suckers for the black and white pics of the guys. Something about the way the shadows play with and wrap themselves around the guys...
Looking at this picture, I know it's not the end of Wanted (Jon usually raises his guitar neck rather than his fist) but damn, that's the first thing that popped into my head.
COULD be, the Wanted brain pop is because of that damned Stetson. I say "damned" because that hat always draws my eye unerringly to it, and there are SO many other things in this picture to look at...
Like the way the spotlight illuminates part of Richie's profile, and teases with his hair.
Like the way his jeans are clinging to his legs and ass like a second skin.
Like the way Jon's right foot is raised slightly, like he was going to demand the "big finish" to the current song.
Like the way Richie's right arm is pulled back, so you know that if he's got his shirt unbuttoned in true Sambora fashion (as is probably the case) an enticing slice of smooth, tanned chest decorated with charms on leather cords is on display...
Where was I?
Oh yeah. That hat.
That DAMNED hat.
Damn.

Happy Birthday, girlfriend! Just throw a leg across (the man or the bike, doesn't much matter lol) and hold on for the ride!

The Cosmos Hates Me
Balance is the key to achieving more happiness in your life right now. You need to do everything in moderation and avoid getting too obsessed with reaching one goal or connecting with one person. Spread your attentions around and give everyone a chance to spend some quality time with you -- especially older family members. Getting back your equilibrium will help you regain confidence and prepare you to take on the bigger and better things that are right around the corner.I know, you can make anything fit any situation but shit. I didn't need to read that...

I promise, not all Boston sports fans are like this...
I know you've seen it. You maybe even laughed along with the guy's antics. But, please don't think all Boston sports fans are like that. Though, not being a Celts' fan, and in fact not liking basketball at ALL (shhh, don't tell my brother) I guess I can't speak for THOSE fans. I can speak for Sox, B's, and Pats fans though. Uh, no. Unless we're kids (or really, really drunk) we don't do that. Sports are serious business here in Beantown...

David Bryan at Stone Pony this past weekend
Our golden-curled, and golden-throated fave was in Ashbury Park this weekend for the 35th anniversary of the Stone Pony. (Suppose the SP t-shirt JB wore when he played with Bruce was from the grand opening? lol)
He spent some time in the audience before going on stage to play with Bobby...
Like Becky said, this vid was a bit annoying, and causes a kink in the neck, but is totally worth it :) I've ripped the audio from it, and will post it later -- can't do that from work...
Some comments from the SSJ message board:
The Stone Pony without the poles and the higher ceiling looks so much bigger and the new sound system was outstanding. The place was packed!! Bob Burger was on the top of his game and had a different guitarist since Leahy couldn't make it. He did mostly his own songs and he was very well received!!
Of special note was the tireless SSJ drummer, Joe Bellia, who played continuously with both Bob Burger & Bobby Bandiera the entire evening. He never lost a beat.
Bobby did some selections from the brothers show he will do at the end of Feb at Count Basie. He was likewise sensational and had some horns join toward the end inc.
While there was speculation that Bruce and SSJ were going to show --that was not the case. However we were fortunate to have David Bryan, Bon Jovi's keyboard player joined Bobby on stage --he sang and performed, to the delight of the crowd.
Glad to see many Jukes fans there.
Awesome night!!!!!!!!!!!
And more photos from the nights event are on StonePony Online, here and here.

What Makes Me Happy
I mean it has it all. The acoustic guitar, one of my all time FAVORITE songs ever, and the Stetson. Good lord, that Stetson...
And the ripped jeans...
And the way his eyes close and his head holds the beat...
And the way he licks his lips...
And...
And...

AFL News
~ By JOHN LOMBARDO (Sports Business Journal)
Staff writer
Published February 16, 2009
Arena Football League owners will meet this week in Chicago to discuss a restructuring plan aimed toward reviving the league next season.
The owners will gather at the O’Hare Hilton on Thursday to discuss the plan, which has been under development since the league announced in December that its 2009 season was canceled.
“The meeting is to be a progress report on the restructuring plan that we have done over the past 60 days,” said AFL acting Commissioner Ed Policy. “There may or may not be a vote, but there is a lot of progress to report on.”
The league had set a March 1 deadline to restructure in order to play in 2010. Policy refused to disclose details of the plan, which will likely create a single-entity structure for the league to improve efficiencies and streamline expenses.

Seattle Channel ~ Front Row: Memphis
Thanks, Rike, for passing this along...
Front Row: MEMPHIS 1/22/2009
This 5th Avenue Theatre`s Spotlight Night features discussions with Roosevelt High School graduate and MEMPHIS star Chad Kimball, creative team Joe DiPietro, book and lyric writer, David Bryan composer, and producers of this and other award-winning Broadway musicals. MEMPHIS is a high-energy new musical about race, romance, Rock N’ Roll and the segregated South of the 1950s. MEMPHIS follows the fictionalized life story of a white disc jockey who shocked his city by playing black music on the radio.
I thought it was a great program. Give it a look-see.
