Richie & Heather at Ava's Soccer Game

Photobucket

Heather and Richie cheered on Ava at her soccer match yesterday. You'll gladly note Richie left the Dennis the Menace shirt home yesterday. Ava got hurt, hence Richie carrying her around. He was taking her back to Heather's car.

You can find the rest of the pics here.

GODDESS IS A GEEK!

Yep, you heard right. Geek.

As in, I downloaded software to pull jpgs out of a wmv file. Which wmv file? The CinC one I downloaded from the pentagon channel. (That sounds all kinds of wrong, btw)

As in, I have a bunch (not many, ~60) screen caps from the Commander in Chief ball. The one above is just one of them.

I'll probably add more to this PB album, so check back every once in a while :)

Jon Bon's personal photos from the Inauguration

Yep, you heard right. That camera that you saw Jonny with wasn't just for show. He's apparently quite the shutterbug! He shared a bunch of pictures with Oprah (by a bunch, I mean 7). I posted one of them above (chilly, Jonny?) and the rest can be found here.

If you can't get to them, let me know; I have them in my Photobucket.

Happy Anniversary, Bon Jovi!

On January 21, 1984, Bon Jovi released their self-title debut album.

1. Runaway (Jon Bon Jovi, George Karak)
2. Roulette (Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora)
3. She Don't Know Me (Mark Avsec)
4. Shot Through the Heart (Bon Jovi, Jack Ponti)
5. Love Lies {no vid} (Bon Jovi, David Rashbaum)
6. Breakout (Bon Jovi, Rashbaum)
7. Burning for Love (Bon Jovi, Sambora)
8. Come Back {no vid} (Bon Jovi, Sambora)
9. Get Ready (Bon Jovi, Sambora)

Did you know that it is the only Bon Jovi album on which a song ("She Don't Know Me") appears that was not written or co-written by members of the band?

The record sold more than 2 million copies. The first single, "Runaway", was the band's first Top 40 hit, reaching #39 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984.

So, guys, hope it's not just us fans who are remembering this date in Jovi History... Happy Anniversary!

Love,
Hath

JBJ at the CIC Ball Last Night

Thanks to my good friend MysteryTrain and Lee in Australia for posting these vids.

Jon Bon Jovi played the Commander in Chief ball last night. His stage band featured Bobby Bandiera, Lorenza Ponce, Jeff Kazee and Everett Bradley. One of the non-music highlights of the evening was the announcer trying to say Jon's name. You could tell that the guy was up since the crack of dawn. Also, I thought it was incredibly cute that Jon kept futzing with his bow tie :)

Set List:

Who Says You Can't Go Home

Livin on a Prayer

Here comes the Sun

Wanted Dead or Alive

Interview with Katie Couric afterwards.

These are all available as MP3s on my SkyDrive:

Enjoy!

We enter an "Era of Responsibility"

Where I worked, nearly everyone in my division (~150 people) stopped whatever it was they were doing and gathered in the conference rooms and lobby to watch Barak Obama take oath as the 44th President of these United States.

His speech was thoughtful, well written, and delivered beautifully; and if we as a nation can accomplish even a quarter of what he envisions for this country, we will be in a better place.

His goals are noble and many, but not so varied from presidents of years past. He speaks of freedom, equality, better schools, healthcare, and environmental directives. It is sad to see that we as a nation, as arguably the most powerful nation on the planet can't seem to resolve these issues that plague us year after year, administration to administration.

Maybe the difference THIS year, with THIS administration is that I believe Mr. Obama truly believes the speech he delivered.
What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility - a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.

This is the price and the promise of citizenship.
Pony up, America.

Here's Pie in Your Eye!

I haven't seen this one before -- it made me laugh out loud. Apparently there's a reason Richie's birthday "cake" is cupcakes -- he doesn't trust the guys anymore. Not since he turned 30....

Discounts on tickets to Memphis in Seattle! ONE DAY ONLY

To celebrate Inauguration Day, 5th Avenue Theatre is selling tickets for "Memphis" and "Hello, Dolly!" for only $20.09.

Tickets are available at this low price for one day, Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to midnight (online only) and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (box office and phone). Shows on sale include the first week of the Broadway-aimed musical "Memphis" (Jan. 27 to Feb. 1) and the first week of "Hello, Dolly!" (March 7 to 15).

The racially-fueled rock 'n' roll musical Memphis will arrive at 5th Ave Theater Jan. 27. Memphis will officially open Feb. 5 and run through Feb. 15 at the 5th Avenue Theatre.

We're talkin' downtown, down-home Memphis of the '50s. Rock 'n' roll is taking over the airways, Elvis is a wannabe, and a downright demented deejay named Huey is spinning the music of black and white America together for the first time. From the author of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and Over the River and Through the Woods, and the composer-keyboardist of Bon Jovi, comes a rafter-rattling musical that immortalizes the man who gave rock its original roll.

Book and Lyrics by Joe DiPietro, Music and additional lyrics by David Bryan.

Online, go to www.5thavenue.org. Type in the promotion code of "OBAMA" when signing in. To get tickets by phone, call 206-625-1900 (or toll free 888-5TH-4TIX), and say the code. The box office is located at 1308 5th Ave., in downtown Seattle.
